  • Especially for tpe18509 - recorded before I got my external microphone this is a full version of recordings made on 28 April 2004 at Morpeth Station and finishing with a few photos of the station and wall tile map - the regal GNER colour scheme at its best before all the sets had orange doors, units going on to and coming off the sidings, HAA coal hoppers and a 60 on the empty steel

Great to see some shots of the old-fashioned pre-Mallard refit 225s!

@argenvia thank you much appreciated - yes there have been serious accidents in steam days and in Deltic days one of them being a sleeper train

A nice interlude film, thanks for bringing it to our attention. Some curve that! It will be good to run the film as background while doing something else. What a beautifully kept station.
    Keep up the good work!

@melvilla1903 Many thanks Roger - yes I believe the curve is the tighest radius on the UK railway network with TPWS speed control - also jointed rails had to be retained rather than continously welded rail due to the risk of the rail buckling sideways with hot/cold temperature expansion/contraction. I don't know if this is still the case with todays modern technology
