Indigo Park is an immersive first-person exploration game that takes you on a thrilling journey through the eerie remnants of an abandoned amusement park. As the protagonist, you will step into the shoes of an adventurous soul eager to uncover the mysteries hidden within this once vibrant and lively attraction.
Explore a desolate world where time has stood still, and nature has reclaimed its territory. The amusement park, once filled with joyous laughter and cheerful music, now echoes with haunting silence and faded memories. Guided by an A.I. assistant*, help restore power to the destroyed amusement park while you avoid the reason it shut down.
Once one of the most renowned theme parks of the world, Indigo Park was suddenly shut down after a mysterious, horrific incident. Years later, in a search for nostalgia, you break into the park to explore the abandoned attractions. You may remember this place, but you'll need some help from a special A.I. friend*.
Previously the park's A.I.-driven* tour guide, Rambley the Raccoon will take over screens and other aspects of the park to communicate with you! Explore the park as you find collectables, secrets, and discover why the park was shut down, all while being guided by Rambley! Find items, solve puzzles, and restore power to the park as you run from the reason it shut down.
*Rambley, the AI character is a work of fiction, and is not utilizing actual "AI", rather stunning 2D animation and voice acting to communicate with the player.

Generally, it just means that your character is cute and/or marketable, and says little about the actual quality. We don't know how good the game is, it's not even out!

Dog toy version: Rambly on a TV but the dog can pull out piece of electronics from the TV (or whatever works in the game to control a rampant AI)
1:53 a great observation about this is Walt Disney himself. Once he started focusing on theme parks (his merch for Disney, per se), his films flipped in quality because he wasn't focusing on film anymore. He was focusing on "merch" only and no one else could make their films work as well as he did.
Imagine people years from now coming back to these videos and commenting things like, “Wow, look at that, this is where it all started!” And “he’s improved so much since then,”

As someone who has now seen the game, I wanna go back to this video and suggest: actually making the little character keychains we see at the Critter Corner would be cute! I’d love to just have a little Salem keychain

i think when ready you should sell merch based off of what’s sold at the park, like the plushes for the characters, the rambley shirts and hats, the rambley figure, etc

I'm looking forward to trying the first chapter when it releases. I know some are tired of the "Mascot Horror Genre", but this one feels like it'll be a bit different, plus the setting and characters that we know of look really charming.

Your views on making merch is exactly why I think the game and Rambly himself are such wonderfully made. Especially in the case of Rambly he actually feels like a character instead of just a design to slap on some piece of merch for a quick book as he should be not to mention the world itself feels alive and even in this first chapter it feels like there's so much lore to be uncovered. Needless to say this is my new favorite horror game
Merch idea: Use your drawn version of you interacting with Rambly (like him on your head, holding hands, or something like that); it could be posters, pins, badges, and other stuff.

For merch ideas, plushies would definetly be a good starting point while having the added bonus of nipping the bootlegs in the bub. Cool stickers of the 2D designs of your characters would also be really cool. And since your making posters of the characters to put in game, physical copies of the in game posters could also be really cool. And later down the road, you might wanna do more character centric items. Like a red bandana with the indigo park logo on it for Rambley, a small toy version of Molly's air plane, etc. The idea behind these items is that they could have been sold at gift shops in the actual game.
Man your game is really getting the attention it deserves i hope Indigo Park It will become a cult game in the future

I’d love a figure or plush of Rambley! I absolutely agree about prioritization issues with merch, though, so take your time and don’t feel pressured into merch if you don’t want to!

Btw UniqueGeese, if you make a collab, you should incorporate it into the lore, like "But that other park [INSERT NAME HERE] found [REDACTED] and sadly, our home shut down". It'd be a really cool way to do the world building!
Also, a good way to make a secure game is to hire bug testers, make em sign and NDA and stuff, and have them wreak havoc on the game.

Might I just say that I think it’s incredible that you guys are taking the time to make sure the game meets your expectations. In a time when big developers put out partially completed products all the time, it is nice to see indie developers that don’t rush to deliver their game.
My favorite type of merch is something that feel like it could come from the setting it self. Which for a mascot horror set in a theme park would be really easy. I want to own the character key-chains or those 2 sided Rambly shirts I see in the Gift-shops in the game, maybe a racoon ear headband or hat based on the classic Mickey-ear ones. Something that people in-universe could have bought back when the park was still open.

Announcement trailer released... then boom, knockoff merchandise.
It's best to sell shirts and other good ones if you release Chapter 2, and once you fully complete Indigo Park... you can sell an official plushie about the funni ourple Rambley the Racoon, and must be a collab from a official plush selling site like Makeship!!! (Just like how you sell your own plushie)
I hope you're doing well on finishing Chapter 1's progress, as it could be really peak indie horror territory right there.
Unreal Engine is a great program for this game (and its canceled "Garten of Banban Reincarnated"), that it's legitimately worth using in 3D (and 2D) game development. (Because Unity is falling off recently)

honestly, i feel like you should go live about 2 hours after the game releases so people can join with their thoughts on it.
im genuinely so excited for the game when it's finished. take as LONG as you need to make ch 1 the best it can be for a 'pilot'. it's great to hear you're focusing on the game rather than merch this early on in development

You really inspire me, you showed me that anyone can make games.
You just decided to learn coding one day and now your making your own indie game.
Also, i hope there's alot of voice lines. You mentioned portal, and one of my favorite things about it is just how much dialogue there is.
Like just hidden dialogue for doing certain things.
Like if you actually jump into one of Wheatley's traps he gets surprised.
Or those certain bits where he just talks alot and if you stay there he'll continue talking.
I love the dialogues in portal and stuff like it, like stanley parable.

Since you’re planning on having a shorter first chapter, I recommend calling it either a prologue or Chapter Zero. Making it a prologue and tutorial will help everyone understand it but there should also be a hook by the end. I’d recommend checking out the demo for Backbone (Renamed “Tails Noir”, as Backbone Prologue introduces the main character, gameplay elements, environment, and ends with a strong hook that gets you interested in seeing the rest.

Game development can vary when you got stuff like school to still worry about. Chapter one set up a really good baseline, I'd be happy to wait to see what time can do for Chapter two.
I'm really hyped for your game, something that i've never felt for a indie horror game before. So, I believe that you are doing your best to deliver the best game you can! Just one concern... Look a bit outside the indie mascot horror game scene, look at other scary horror games and please pay attention to the gameplay! I feel like most mascot horror games forget that there needs to be interesting unique gameplay! I think that amnesia bunker, even if it wouldn't work perfectly since your game is way more open, is worhty of looking into

You should add like an noise bar, where if the monster is near and you move, then the noise bar increases. And when its fully increased. Then the monster goes to where you are. And for it to lower. You must hide

Rambley crossing over in banban is hilarious, maybe only as a background or backdrop in the dream-sequence part, where he thinks there are new customers, only for them to walk past the gate as its closed.

here's my two cents regarding merch: if you ever get big enough for merch, produce everything we see in the giftshops, the designs are already there, they can tie the merch into the game, and we can play while wearing something we might have picked up at the park
