It's funny I remember going on vacation and I had one small bag I remember having a pair of shorts and a pair of pants and 3 shirts two pairs of underwears two pairs of socks all I remember is I felt a lot less stress going on this vacation than anything so having a minimalist approach on what you do is the best thing and you don't have a headache at the end of the dayâ€

Well done!! Iâm not sure I could have only 10 items of clothes in a capsule haha. I would be afraid that I might get bored of that few options?? But itâs really interesting! I have a lot fewer clothes these days than I once had. One pair of blue jeans, one pair of black jeans, one white tee etc. Thanks for the inspiration! đ
I love that! I feel like it takes some trial and error to find the capsule/minimalist wardrobe approach that works for you. Sometimes the season of life affects it too. I tend toward a uniform in the winter and during the first year postpartum. :)

Oh i love this video and your 10 items. I have being following her for many years, and I love the concept. This summer my ten items are all dresses and it has been amazingly easy to get dressed and felt so good. I donât count my tshirts in my core items. ItÂŽs inspiring how simple your wardrobe is.

Loved this. So nice to see a capsule wardrobe with more casual clothes (or should I say more like I would wear). When I've watched other videos like this I always think it's not for me as it's not how I dress. You've encouraged me to give it a try. My biggest problem is I live in Australia and this Spring the weather has been ALL over the place.
Oh my goodness, that is a really good point! I find those transitional seasons like fall and spring hardest to prepare a useful capsule for. I'm hoping to share my fall capsule soon, so I'll try to show how I pick pieces with the weather variances in mind. And, hello to you in Australia! I've never been, but one of my best friends lives in Brisbane now.

Great video! Certainly love this idea of the 10 item wardrobe, but I find I wear more lounge/shorts/tees on a day- to -day basis and not dresses - still, I'm culling my wardrobe bit by bit!

I just decluttered my closet today, got rid of three trash bags full. But I still feel like I still have so much stuff!!! I love this capsule wardrobe idea. I want to do this, but why does it feel so scary?? lol.
You got this! Itâs definitely something I came to slowly. If youâre scared, try it for just a few weeks. Maybe a six week experiment. Keep the clothes outside the capsule in a bin outside your wardrobe. Then you get to experience the simplicity and freedom without making any long term commitments to it.

Is your 10-item wardrobe seasonal? Do these items include your lounge wear?
Yes! Definitely seasonal. Basically I have summer and winter capsules. Then spring and fall are a mix of pieces from those capsules.
Loungewear falls into the âextrasâ category for the Ten-Item Wardrobe. So there are 10 core pieces and then a flexible number of extras.
I have a couple more videos that should flesh it out for you. One title includes, âanswering BIG capsule questionsâ and another is âMy Entire Minimalist Wardrobe.â

Hi! Yes, I have clothes stored away for each season and I typically only buy one or two pieces each season (if that). Right now, you'll see me buying more because I gained weight after having babies and have to rebuild my wardrobe.
