      MotoGuide Thanks! I'm hoping to expand production capability this fall and then I can give that and some other ideas more thought. Oh, and the beard has already gone ;-)

    To be honest, you didn't do justice to the Range Rover. Watched you test the BMW M6 M and it made Range Rover look like a villain. The RR is designed to crush the off road tracks not do burn outs. Why don't you take both the cars on a off road track and see what's the real "value for money".
    P.S loved the review. Just saying what I feel, and I love BMW as much as you did in the video.
    Cheers!

      +Shoaib Syedain Can't disagree with your assessment, but I did try and make the point in the RR video that it carries the burden of still having to be a Land Rover while the X6 M needn't make any such presumptions.

      TestDriveNow.com featuring Auto Critic Steve Hammes its about the priorities Land Rover's first priority is to leave people awestruck after they take their vehicle off-road. While as the BMW's first priority is to make a car which is more subtle for the normal road first then the off roads.
      P.S Thank you for showing concern.
      Cheers!

    I thought the Range Rover Sport SVR was the fastest SUV around the nurburgring

    • @courageokungbowa3655
      @courageokungbowa3655 Před 9 lety

      That's the Range Rover Sport Supercharged. SVR didn't exist when the Sport had the 8 minute 14 seconds around the ring. Though I'm betting it would be around the same time, but quicker, perhaps sub 8 minute time.

      VTEC kick in The SVR was subject to exhaustive testing, with prototype vehicles completing nearly 1,000 laps around Germany's NürburgringNordschleife circuit; its best lap was just 8 minutes 14 seconds.

    Well hopefully Land Rover gets the new infotainment system that's going in MY2016 Jaguar vehicles, and they'll send you the SVR to test again.

    • @stevehammes
      @stevehammes  Před 9 lety

      dcharizard91 The new system in the Discovery Sport was far from a huge leap forward, so I don't know...

    • @dcharizard91
      @dcharizard91 Před 9 lety

      +TestDriveNow.com featuring Auto Critic Steve Hammes it looks like JLR is introducing the new system on the MY2016 Jaguar XE, XF, and XJ. It looks completely different than the system used in the Discovery Sport. It has completely different layout, wider screen design, and integrates Jaguar In-Control apps.

    • @MrPeterthepilot
      @MrPeterthepilot Před 9 lety

      Wouldn't let the infotainment system stop anyone buying this. My opinion is that the new system is appreciably better but doubt RR will ever compete with BMW in this respect. Thing is that what it does is fine, it's just the way it does it that is clumsy.....

    X5m is a better sports suv or cayenne turbo!!

    • @MrPeterthepilot
      @MrPeterthepilot Před 8 lety

      Perhaps, but harder rides in both make the SVR a better long range tourer...
