Alicent's, "there is no mistake" is really just a "I'm powerless." She can't actually say that because she hasn't fully come to terms with quite how stuck she is, and "there is no mistake" is basically saying she can change nothing. Mistake or no.
Orrrr she’s in denial and too stubborn to admit her misunderstanding caused a war. Either way, I’d like to see her try. Even though war is inevitable, it would make her redeem herself by trying. She’s already a trash mother so id also like to see her try and be a better mother before they probably die. She thinks she tries to do the right thing all the time yet sleeps with Cole, doesn’t comfort her grieving kids, checks in on her mourning daughter only to make sure her secret is still safe, AND doesn’t admit she admit she made a mistake that led to a war
Or, more simply, it wasn't her mistake because it was ultimately intentional on the part of everyone on the Green side except her.
Also even if there was no misunderstanding there was always plan to usurp the throne without Alicent
@@AK-pw3oqyeah they think by her saying its too late, they can go stop the armies, but its really too personal for the men that are pushing for the war. the new information simply wont stop them. cole and aegon and even aemond (from her perspective) want this war desperately. its not up to her
@@skeeyee1643 Alicent hate is total unnecessary she has no control over anything since start unlike Rhenyra including scene with Viserys. That guy did enough damage to his family dynasty with his weak decision making when he was alive but did some more even when dieing 😂
"Cowabunga it is" is pretty much the Blackwood/Bracken reaction to any conflict in Westeros. Remember the duel when Rhaenyra was doing her husband hunt?
They've been killing each other since before Aegon the Conqueror and they'll be killing each other long after.
@@teksnotdead902 Since the Gardeners had Highgarden and Casterly Rock belonged to the Casterlys
Were they fighting before the incident with the tree? I think in ASOIAF they said Blackwood's tree got poisoned 'a thousand years ago' (and they haven't shut about it since lol).
@@teksnotdead902 They have been killing each other before the ANDALS (probably the only war they fought on the same side). And I think they can't even agree if it was 500 or 1000 years before that. They both date back to the First Men, but the Brakens converted and heavily intermarried with the Andals.
The entrance of Alys Rivers right when Simon Strong says "by the old gods.." so subtle but so good, they absolutely hit the Harrenhal content out of the park
But the book elitist will say its bad because the show didnt spend an extra $50,000 to the vfx team to make Harrenhal book accurate sized🤣

7:07 Seasmoke and Leanor are spirit bonded as dragon and dragon rider. I highly suspect that Seasmoke is acting oddly because Leanor died off screen and he can sense it
I sure hope so, because HBO had put out a video saying Seasmoke became riderless when Laenor left so people were worried they would have him bonding without solving this issue (they deleted the video immediately but there are screenshots of it lmao).
I also think Laenor’s actor was seen on set, so maybe he will not die off-screen. But I’m not sure if it was confirmed to be him.
Laenor didnt die he just went away with his boyfriend. Its more likely he's acting the way he is because he's not been with Laenor for so long
Leanor didn't die offscreen.
Didn't we see him in the season preview?
Either he has died or word of his son dieing has reached him and he is on his way home. I'm pretty sure that was him in the trailer
The old lords on Rhaenyras council aren't the only ones getting frustrated with her, Jace is too. He wants revenge on the people who murdered his little brother so his mom not making ANY decisions at all is really starting to piss him off.
Yeah, he has been staring Rhaenyra for a while now lol
Rhaenyra tells Jace about the prophecy next episode and then Jace calms down probably
It not that Jace wants revenge he understands that rhaneras father never bolstered the allegiant to her family..those allegiance have grown stale...she has no standing army she holds no territories...she's on the weaker end to the claim.
Like seriously. Give them something, now she just looks indecisive
Which is also why Rhaenyra chose Baela to play recon on King's Landing instead of him - she knows good and well the risk of letting an opportunity for short-term vengeance at the first look. Just like Rhaenys said, the hot-blooded taking upon themselves to sate vengeance with punishment, even if baits them into further escalating violence.
And seeing the Battle of the Burning Mill aftermath - a war between two houses with zero dragons involved - to say that taking precaution before a war of this magnitude isn't just prudent; doing so just to "satiate" the restless at the council could be costly in the worst sense.
Brackens and blackwoods aren’t common folk and they were not fighting over blacks vs greens 😂
Also do they not see the sigils? Since when do the small folks have sigils? Since when do the small folks speak in terms of family names like the Brackens and the Blackwoods? What common folks would spontaneously have a whole ass battle that leaves hundreds or thousands dead🤦♂️
@@WarKriegThe small folk do wear the sigils of their lords though as their men, and they do still get sent off to war and suffer the most, so I think the point still stands tbh.

I think the reason you dont really hear about House Bracken is because game of thrones tv show limited the amount of houses they decided to involve. House Celtigar and House Velaryon for example were involved with stannis alot during the GoT but the show cut them out almost entirely
The worst is what they did to House Manderly and House Glover. Two of the most loyal Houses were potrayed as cowards.
@@anggi8699 don't even get me started on House Umber. Smalljon Umber doesn't die defending his King but rather is directly a traitor to the Starks that hates his dad. Just awful.
@@anggi8699 I mean, in order to perfectly adapt everything, they would've needed at least 20 episodes a season. I don't think people realize that. Even seasons 1 and 2, which are the most loyal seasons to the books, left out almost half of all storylines and characters due to time constraints. That's just the way it is. As George himself said, he wrote his story while having the idea that it would be almost impossible to adapt to screen. They even offered him 3 movies first, instead of a show, and he turned it down ASAP. And also, it didn't help the Manderlys or Glovers when seasons 7 and 8 were shortened by DnD, either.
Yeah Lord Jonos Bracken appears for like 10 seconds in the scene where Robb is declared King in the North.
@@MFBlooshdon’t get me wrong, I expect and understand things have to be cut and shortened to adapt it to screen. However, completely changing a houses identity is too much. Soo much in the show we heard of Northern loyalty, yet only 3 houses (1 of them made up for the show) joined Jon/Sansa for the BotB.
I blame the war on Otto Hightower. When he sent Alicent to 'comfort' King Viserys, he was setting this whole thing in motion.
Yep
Nah, if anybody is to be blamed outrightly for the dance it's Viserys. His accumulated failures as a king led to the dance. King's are judged by their legacy, what they leave behind and what he left was the dance. People don't realize it cuz of how much of a good man he is morally but he was such a bad king.
viserys allowed him to be successful lol
Or you can blame viserys too. He didn’t HAVE to marry another woman. Y’all lack critical thinking skills
@@daurydavis3983no, it’s not just Otto. It’s also viserys
As King consort Daemon would not be, in fact, addressed as “prince” but as “your grace”. If someone calls him prince, it implies they don’t consider Rhaenyra as the rightful Queen.
wrong. king consort is your prince not your grace. Nobody called prince phillip your grace
@@afrobuddy4801 That's because the title of King Consort doesn't exist in British monarchy since in theory the title of "King" in any form would end up outranking that of a Queen. Hence Prince Philip was Prince consort instead, whereas the women that marry the King are actually Queen consorts. But still, the show isn't based on real life rules alone. Alicent is also addressed as "your grace" in the show ever since she married Viserys although she's Queen consort/dowager. Laenor was referred as King consort in season 1 and Daemon was also called King consort by Corlys last episode, so the title clearly exists in the show universe
@@silversaturns And yet every character on this show refers to Daemon as Prince and never as "your grace" And as Westeros is basically Britain you don't think perhaps there are parallels with the British monarchy?

But maybe knowing this truth will push her to do something in time.
Yup alicent allowed the men around d her to usurp her something rhaneyse warned her about

The war wasn't started over an indecisive king. Viscerys never changed his mind about Rhaenyra being heir. The war wasn't started over a misunderstanding. Otto and members of the council had been plotting in secret for years to put Aegon on the throne. Whether Alicent agreed or not made no difference. However Alicent heard what she wanted to hear and believed it because she truly wanted her son to be king. The misunderstanding of the kings last words only served to ease Alicent's guilt at helping steal Rhaenyra's inheritance. It was Otto and men like Otto who caused the war because they would sooner see the realm burn than have a woman on the throne. Otto also comes from an extremely ambitious house. It's like a family duty to increase hightower status and position. Worst mistake Viscerys made was marrying one of them.
Even if Alicent went against the council when Viserys died, she would've just been imprisoned and forced to go along with it anyway. I'd have a LOT more respect for her, but it was going to happen regardless of whether she wanted it or not.
Precisely
Viserys hould have never married a 14 year old child and forced her to have male heirs just because he had weird dreams. He ruined Alicent's life, his children's lives and ultimately Rhaenyra's. Otto is to blame too for pimping his daughter out to a grandpa.
@@girlboss5172 that’s the whole point right? she HAS to double down now. she makes it clear this ep too. what power does she really have? like rhaenys said, instead of working to empower, she toils in service to men. she wanted to rule by influencing the men around her, but now her dad is gone and her kids aren’t going to listen to her. what can she do now? i feel for her
Biggest villian was Viserys. Dude married second time to have male heirs and then didn't named him as heir beause he was emotionally weak 😂
The church convo basically accomplished the following:
> Rhaenyra exausting all peaceful options that don't involve her surrendering
> Alicent now knows she f-ed up ROYALY
Vizzy T did proclaim his daughter to be his heir in front of everybody. They even had a whole ceremony in season 1 where the Lords of the 7 kingdoms came to pledge their loyalty to her.
That was before he had a son. That was before Rheanyra had bastards that she planned to put on the throne after her. He should've done it again, but some thing more meaningful than forcing everyone to serve Rheanyra. Also either disinherit the bastards or come out and say they are bastards then legitimate them. They had years. They could've come up with something clever. These royalties ain't shit.
Some 20 years before the war began. Most of the lords that swore their loyalty have since died and their sons have succeeded them. Viserys never had them swear those same vows. As we saw with Borros Baratheon
@@rexibhazoboa7097they’re still children of the monarch & if that was the only issue then Otto and the gang could’ve made her claim one of her & daemon’s kids as heir instead of Jace.
It us honorable to stay true to your father's oath. It is dishonorable to reneg on the weird of your house after it was given.@jackcrofts-mullin461
@@rexibhazoboa7097 Rhaenyra's children are legitimate, declared by Rhaenyra herself, Laenor and the King, no one can disagree. Also, all her children are dragon riders... so obviously they are Valyrian. So in this particular case even being a bastard shouldn't matter..... it matters because the Hightowers want the throne. That's it. This is far from the reason the greens usurped the throne. It's their pretext and you shouldn't fall for it . Also they are not challenging who will be Rhaenyra's heir they are challenging her directly, Otto started plotting before Rhaenyra even have a son. The king is the law and Jace is legally her heir as she is the Queen and can decree that. The great council named Viserys the king.
6 riders on horseback, completely separated from the rest of the garrison...
Navi, "Get the Scorpion.." 😳😳
Lol right
she thought they had it in the woods
Why do people think she'd get recognized in Kingslanding so fast
There's no magazines, paintings, TV, Cellphones.... regular folks in a BIG city wouldnt recognize strangers so easily.
Even in the books, characters forget faces all the time.
It is still extremely dangerous, especially in war. Young Rhaenyra in episode 4 was recognized by set Harwin, who was working in the city’s watch, while dressed up as a boy-quite easily even.
@@vitaaeris true theres a risk, but as populated as the city is, and so much change in the kinngs guard n city watch, its less likely then more.
That's kinda embarrassing tbh. How was she heir for so many years and still can't get recognize in the city she grew up in. damn
One very important fact, that people *definitely* overlook - Aegon became King because of Otto and the small council's plans, not because of Alicent's half-overheard prophecy. 👈😉
daemon wanted to be called your grace because he's married to the queen, not because he's "pressing a claim" 😭😭 he should be called your grace, like alicent is.
I swear they never think
Actually as the consort to the Queen he perhaps shouldn't be called your Grace, as it could be seen as minimising Rhaenyra's position. It's why Prince Philip in real life was never referred to as your majesty.
Wasn’t his title prince consort?
He literally is prince consort. The castellan or liege of Harrenhal calling him prince was correct and the normies being confused by Daemon’s request is understandable.
@@sarad2659 Prince phillip was prince consort not king consort, Daemon is king consort.
U are delulu, literally read the scene
I forgot who mentioned it in a episode, but normal ordinary citizens basically never see the royal family. So they basically would have no clue what Rhaenyra would look like, they just know her name and know the Targaryen hair
Daemon isn’t pressing a claim, he is king consort and should be called your grace
I sometimes wonder if reactors to HOTD even know the universe at all or even pay attention. Alicent was called your grace and she’s a consort. Daemon is already royal in his own right, but now he’s the husband of the queen, so its only obvious he should be called your grace. The show used king consort, but he would be prince consort, most likely. I think he is called that in the book, not sure.
Well even the black counsel refers to him as "prince"

So I guess we finally get to see why the show is called Hot D

The normies gotta be some of the dumbest reactors to this show, but I still enjoy it lol
@@Quzga me too! Sometimes when I watch their star wars reactions, I think how did they forget this or that. Then I laugh at the dumbness. 🤣🤣🤣
I know alicent wasn’t immediately responsive to what rhaenyra told her, but i honestly think she’s going to see the light before the season is over. Rhaenyra has opened her eyes now, and ultimately alicent won’t be able to ignore that, even if she tries.
Even in the teaser for the next episode, it seems like her entire mindset has shifted. She truly doesn't care anymore because she knows now that everything she's done since she was forced to talk to Viserys has been for nothing. She was slightly suicidal before, as seen in the bath scene, but from this point on it seems like she genuinely won't care about her life.
There is literally nothing Alicent can do. She could go to her son and tell him she made a mistake. What do you think that would achieve? You think he would give up the throne? All that would do would make him listen to her even less.
It's too late. War is coming.
@@Marta-uv4id yes, it seems like she’s even more over what the greens are doing at this point. pushing back against aegon. i can’t wait to see it!
@@liljackypaper yes, exactly. the army is out for war, criston and aegon are no longer listening to alicent but taking their own actions regardless of what she says as we saw in the small council with the greens. otto is gone from court which weakens alicent’s position even more. she cannot reel these men back in. but i do think we’re going to see her become increasingly more angry about her own position and looking for another option by end of season. at least i hope so.
The King would most likely kill her if she told him the truth.
They don’t have Instagram. Most people have no idea what rhaenyra looks like.
Aegon is already the fucking king. You think he’s just gonna hand it back over? Get real. Alicent is right. It’s too late
That is right what she would say to Aegon " Son I fucked up give back the crown my bestie Rhaenyra told me the other day what really happened" .
@@josecanal7556 waste of breath
@@josecanal7556 that’s also the theme of this episode… Rhaenys explained it, the back and forth has begun. The Brackens don’t know why they fight the Blackwoods. Luke was killed, Aegon’s son was murdered in his bed. It doesn’t matter it started as a misunderstanding and that Alicent and Rhaenyra want peace.
Hey Aegon I know they literally murdered your son a week ago, but I think we should quit
It doesn’t matter if Aegon voluntarily hands over the throne. Aegon cannot win a war on his own. He needs an army and the support of other lords. If Alicent joins Rhaenyra’s side and tells the other lords that Rhaenyra is the rightful queen, most of the lords will start to flock to Rhaenyra’s side. Alicent was the previous King’s wife, the lords would likely believe her. And without an army Aegon would have to surrender. But of course Alicent is not going to do that.
Daemon is fighting for Rhaenyra, not against her, just like he fought for his brother. All he ever wanted was for his brother and now his wife, to trust him.
I get why Alicent doesn’t really accept her mistake, imagine realizing that you fcked up, and kinda started a war, she’s gonna need time to process all of that, although the green council was going to crown aegon anyways (episode 9) they planned that without alicent knowing they just used what alicent heard as an excuse, so probably the war was gonna happen either way, something to consider.
And she doesn’t have any power, she can’t stop the war even if she wanted to, the green council ignores her. Also her “relationship” with cole it’s all about power and last episode he became hand and their power dynamic shifted… this episode before he leaves to war he ask for her favor by raising his voice in front of people, (knowing their affair should be kept secret) to assert his power over her. Reluctantly she hands the favor, and when he brushes her fingers, she pulls away.
So the little power she thought she had with cole is gone, and the power she thought she had through her brother might be gone too, ‘cause now he’s in debt to cole for saving his live.
She is all alone and powerless. (maybe helena on her side)
I don't think she doesn't accept her mistake. Her thinking Viserys changed his mind is what helped her side and get on with taking the throne for Aegon, but when she hears Rhaenyra talking about The Song of Ice and Fire and Aegon The Conqueror, I think she realized that she misunderstood Viserys and that he didn't change his mind. But she also knows that Rhaenyra being the rightful heir doesn't change anything (the council had been plotting to take the throne long before Viserys' death), and when she's telling Rhaenyra there had been no mistake, she's really saying that there is nothing that can be done to stop this war, a war that was destined to happen since the day Viserys named her as his heir (as Rhaenys said that men would rather see the world burn than a woman sit the Iron Throne). Alicent will have to side with the Greens as they're her kin, and this is the last goodbye with the girl who once was her best friend.
She had no power from the beginning 🤷🏻♂️ they were already planning on taking the throne from Rhaenyra
Otto Hightower started the war with the small council who already had plans to seat Aegon. Aemond started the fighting. There was also no way Alicent would know of the song of ice and fire, as it was a Targaryen secret passed down to only the heirs since Aegon.
One of the recurring themes in both shows is that the advice the small council offers to rulers isn't always valuable information or useful history rarely remembers the council but always remembers the monarchy and the decisions they make. Robert wanted Dany dead in season one fearing she would raise and army and attack Ned disagreed he was wrong.
Im happy they’re going with the Harrenhal is haunted angle and the introduction to Alys Rivers was creepy asf. Daemon needs to leave asap

I Don’t Think You Guys Remember, But It Didn’t Matter What Alicent Misinterpreted, Otto And The Table Were Planning On Installing Aegon As King Long Before Visarys’ Death
We've actually seen a Blackwood in GoT: The Three-Eyed-Raven, the man under the tree who taught Bran how to use his abilities, was a Blackwood-Targaryen bastard named Brynden Rivers. While it isn't brought up in the show, he had a half-brother who was a Bracken, and the two feuded pretty much their entire lives.
In the show 3ER told Bran he was waiting for him for thousands of years. But BR should be around 120 years old at that time. So i think the show 3ER is completely a different character.

Don’t get me wrong, Rhaena is being parentified and given an adult task (I mean, so is going to war but I digress), but she will also have handmaids to assist her and since they are boys they will often be in studies and practicing fighting as soon as they can be. And like one of you said, she is actually being told she is someone that will likely survive the war and maybe that’s not the worst thing in the world 😂😂
What really started the war was them naming every single child Aegon
It didn't matter whether Alicent misunderstood or not there was always a plan to usurp the throne without her
Alicent is not wrong in that it is far too late, there is absolutely nothing that she can do to stop the war. Aegon will not step down to allow the person who (by virtue of decisions) murdered his son to take the throne. So her saying there was no mistake while not accurate is fine.
to be fair, Daemon has all the right to be called "Your grace" from one point of view you can say is ever a tribute to Rhaenyra. Alicent for example was never rule of westeros, she was just Queen Consort, but people call her "your grace". "prince" is Daemon title by his all authority, by allowing people to call him "your grace" he is basically accepting his position is thanks to the fact his wife is the ruler, and he is her King Consort.
Alicent was actually right. It is too late. Two children have already died and the whole realm is divided. Even if they found common ground civil war is inevitable. And don't forget Daemon. He wouls never back down in front of the Greens.
The Blackwoods and Brackens are like the bloods and the crips, they’ve had beef for centuries. They’ll use any excuse to murder each other.
It's a supernatural bond. The dragon knows its rider is dead...
Props to whoever decided to throw in those Halo sounds bytes lol. Had me cracking up
Those weren’t commoners, they were both noble families but I understand the confusion because of how dirty they looked 😂
Melisandre was around when the dance of dragons, she was 400 years old by the time of Game of Thrones
I'm kind of appalled by the lack of empathy towards Alicent from the women on that couch, I don't expect a lot from the men. HOTD spent an entire first season showing how Alicent cared for Rhaenyra and tried to protect her. She was forced to marry at 14 and have children and lost her best friend in the process. How can anyone really blame her for being the way she is? She doesn't even have a mother so how can she know how to be one. People just heard she's a villain in the books and completely ignore what we're being shown. Please use your brains, watching shows is kind of your job. Olivia Cooke is acting her ass off just for you to completely misinterpret that Sept scene, I-
Media Literacy is kind of dead, haha. This show, in particular has exposed a lot of reactors for lacking in that department. And I'm not saying that you shouldn't have favorites. But it's really easy to fall into justifications when you decide one side is evil and the other is not. Fans are better at seeing the nuance probably because they get to watching, get mad, and then think about the nuance. Reactors need to react in real-time and usually double down on their reactionary thinking. Especially in big groups like this, you just get hyped and into the shit slinging.
Not all reactors are like this though. Boldcast are pretty decent. They at least have a long discussion at the end that shows effort.
can only women feel empathy for female characters? You talk a lot about understanding people and then make sweeping generalizations, making you a hypocrite.
It’s very understandable to hate the characters of Alicent
Did Surj just come from a court trying to win custody of his kids?
The Brackens and Blackwoods are not simple folk. They are rival houses dating back to Age of Heroes. They find any reason to fued and kill each other.
You heard about Bracken House when Catelyn Stark arrested Tyrion and naming soldiers liege lords.
It's kind of unbelievable that you guys react to shows for a living and still don't understand main plot points. I'm disappointed at the women on that couch who call Alicent a bitch qhen she was basically groomed by her father and Viserys and forced to have a male heir (for no reason now) at 14 years old, A CHILD. When she talked to Rhaenyra she realized everything she has suffered was for nothing. Her life's at risk, her children's and she's powerless because her father is gone, her children think she's loyal to her former friend, the small council won't listen to her, Larys is watching her every move. What can she possibly do now??? Media literacy is dead.
oh boo hoo. Everyones life sucks
Womp womp, we’ll always hate Alicunt
In a words of Slim Charles: "it's what war is, you know? Once you in it, you in it. If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie. But we gotta fight."
This is my favorite comment hands down
It's so sad that rhaenyra is seeing the future of the targaryens, and the survival of all humans, and everyone else just wants blood and war. Not seeing the bigger picture.
If seasmoke takes a new rider, I take it as Laenor has died somewhere out there
It does not in fact rain all the time in Seattle, despite what all the people who've never been to the beautiful state of Washington tell you.
The king's guards at the Great Sept were Aegon's goons so I think that explains how they let that meeting happen. They aren't the brightest guys. Additionally, the guards would be on the lookout for suspicious looking men - not women.
Alicent has so many other reasons for crowning Aegon and I wish the writers went with them rather than making her misunderstand Viserys in his last moments. Most of all, that Aegon is the rightful heir by law and precedent. Viserys didn't even codify a law saying that the eldest child, regardless of gender should be the heir. He just wanted special treatment in this one case which doesn't work. He didn't gather his lords and make them re-swear their oaths to Rhaenyra after he had a son, so of course many lords believe that it should be Aegon who sits the Iron Throne. It's always been the eldest son. Any woman in Alicent's shoes would have been upset by the fact that their son wasn't the heir. And we all saw how Viserys treated Alicent and her children. He could have stopped at Aegon, but he made her have three more kids after him. She endured him for years and ofc she wanted something out of it. The writers of the show stripped women of ambition and character flaws which made them very flat.
27:22 You have to remember most of the common people have no idea what the royal family look like at a glance because they're always in the Red Keep, not living among the commoners. There's no TV or phones for their faces to be splashed everywhere so they have to just know silver hair and violet eyes (in the books) mean Valyrian blood.
People making fun of that guy’s body last week are all eating crow from their hats this week. His body is fine as hell.
I didn't expect them to show porn in that brothel 😂. It was messed up how aegon was picking at his brother in front of his friena, I feel like that action will lead to aemond resenting him.
When Viserys is preventing war he's indecisive..
When Rhae is being indecisive, shes preventing war..
Damn the double standards
when did we start adding halo sounds?😂😂 why isnt this being done for every video??? i love it😂
24:04 But remember what Viserys said in the first episode. The idea that the Targaryens can control the dragons is an illusion. Rhaenyra said in this episode that the dragons are growing restless and they can smell that conflict is brewing.
"Your Grace" can be seen as a reminder that he is still Queen's Consort
So that is indeed "your Grace" and is essentially a "King" with less power
Or can simply be Daemon being insecure at being reminded that he's not THE ruler
I really needed to hear that today, thank you.
"You will die in this place". Such an ominous and perfectly placed moment of foreshadowing for Daemon while portraying just how haunted Harrenhall truly is. Harren the Black spent 40 years building that gigantic castle, killing who knows how many thousands of slaves to get it done. The day it was finished Aegon the Conqueror arrived in Westeros, and soon after he raized it with Balerion, killing thousands more inside. Doubt there's a castle anywhere else in the GoT universe more haunted than Harrenhall.
And all the more fitting place for Daemon to meet his doom, though it won't be for awhile yet. :) Iykyk.
5:03 House Bracken is in the main series, they swear fealty to Robb. One of the few times in history where Blackwood and Bracken fight on the same side.
8:28 Daemon wants to be known as “King Consort” the same title Laenor would have had instead of “Prince Consort”
23:52 Alicent no longer has the power to stop the war or convince her son to
40:08 I think it was supposed to be Jace’s dragon who left the egg
Watching the Normies shows why the whole "Black/Green TEAM" thing is stupid. It so slanted Black that Pat is even on their side. I have forced myself to watch with an unbiased eye. There is no way Alicent can tell her sons. She would be killed or locked in her room forever. Lastly the ladies are so trigged by CC, it makes
me feel he written that way to troll them. Lol
CC is the best character hahaha
Whoever is the editor who threw in “Killimanjaro” and a few other Halo references deserves a massive raise. Legit crying laughing 😂
I hate Crispy as much as the next guy lol but you guys underestimate him as a fighter/war time leader. He knows what he's talking about.
I cannot belive I just said that about Crispy oh god
Well it’s true, he may be a c*nt but at least he is good in combat. We’ve just not seen him in action for some time…
Ut oh. Yall remember who else was sent across the sea? A certain son of corylis and rhaenys ;)
I don't think it matters at this point if Alicent genuinely believes there was a mistake or not. I'm sure she believes Rhaenyra deep down and just doesn't want to admit it but even if she does admit it, it's too late at this point. Both sides have lost people and are raising armies. Plus, Alicent is pretty much powerless now. Her strongest ally has been dismissed as Hand of the King and her sons who already didn't listen to her on the regular sure aren't going to listen to her now. She can pretty much only play the hand she's dealt, even if it is a terrible hand.
I spit my water when you covered the Hawk Tuah with a pic of Jesus 😂
I don't think Alicent is avoiding the truth, I think she did realise that Viserys wasn't talking about Aegon (his son), and that it is not a matter of being unwilling to admit her mistake, but rather that it is too late to stop the war.
Remember that the counsil already had a plan when Alicent revealed that Viserys had supposedly changed his mind, they were going to take the throne regardless of what Viserys' intentions were, Alicent's reveal just made it a bit easier and morally acceptable from their perspective. I think Alicent knows that even if she hadn't misunderstood Viserys, everything would've unfolded exactly the same, and there's nothing she could say or do to stop what's coming.
So rather than Alicent being reluctant to see her mistake or just wanting Aegon to rule no matter the truth, I think she's trying to make Raenyra understand that this war was always going to happen, there was no way of stopping it then and there is no way of stopping it now. The truth no longer matters, neither who's right or who started it, as the vicious cycle of violence is already in motion and war is innevitable, just as it happened between Blackwoods and Brackens.
She knows they are both trapped in a path that only leads to suffering, and that probably this is the last time they'll see eachother as the girls who were once friends. After this last moment of humanity, only fire and blood will follow.
28:14
Lol, look at the two to the left when he says "I have a fake one"
I don't think you picked up on it, but Alicent's brother is also being a bit racist against Cole. When he was talking about him having a low beginning and being Dornish. Oldtown where the Hightowers are from is right by the border to Dorne and there is a long history of fighting since before Dorne joined the Seven Kingdoms. As much as we hate Cole, Gwayne Hightower was not the most sympatic character in that scene 😅
Yes but Cole being Dornish was something completely made up right? In the books he's from the Strormlands
@@bakthihapuarachchi3447 I think he's not from Dorne but he has dornish parentage. At least in the show, I don't remember if it's specified in the book.
Marketa being big dumb with her comments at the end.
She thinks oh just because Rhaenyra came into enemy territory that the greens should just roll over and be like "well since you bothered coming all this way..."
Bruhhh actual normie NPC
