  • In this video, I'd like you to practise your French speaking skills with a specific dialogue between a passenger and an SNCF agent. We'll go through a complete dialogue, in French of course. By the end of this video, you'll feel more comfortable handling conversations in French on your train journeys.

    You are the friendliest and most articulate SNCF agent ever. Normally, they make no eye contact, are hard to hear through the window, and will likely tell you that the weather in Arcachon is miserable :)

    This is a good system for presenting conventional turns of phrase, like billet aller retour. My vocabulary is pretty good, but I don't know the common multi-word expressions that are often used.
