I think it's so easy to get caught up in wanting some huge stage show with fireworks nowadays, to try and stand out. This performance reminded me of the stripped back performances of ESCs years ago, when the song and voice could be your ticket to win the trophy. Sometimes, you don't need to have all the lights and crazy pyrotechnics, just two beautiful voices with a lovely, emotional song. I love that this entry snuck up on people and in the end, quality helped it qualify. Genuinely, this is the first ESC national final performance of 2024 to make me feel emotional. Norway, you HAVE to send this ❤

really the best song so far...perfect lyrics and interpretation..great vocies....so we listened to all entries thus far and this is the one song that we can remember and sing...the simplicity is wonderful...no foreworks or dancing just song and talent...we hope to see this at Eurovision...and a win there as this is pure and genuine.

Dag Erik's voice especially is so raw and honest. I wouldn't mind this going to Eurovision in may, Norway doesn't always need to choose for craziness.

A melody that sticks with you, that is being presented by two talented artists, and just makes you want to play it on repeat, over and over again. After having watched them on The Voice, it was an extreme pleasure to see them on stage performing Judge Tenderly of Me together. Much love from the United States.

I am so conflicted by the qualifiers of this round. My AI qualifying despite that performance made me angry, but this qualifying restored my faith in Norway. This is beautiful. Do I think it’s going to win? Not really. But it is very very deserving of a spot in the final. Beautiful.

The autotune used in MGP isnt to make someone who cant sing sound like a good singer, its just fine tuning, and if you can sing autotune can make you sound worse, thats why several of the contestants refuse to use it. Its mostly the ones who dance and sing. Neither these two, Gåte, Eli Kristin, even Erika Norwich (as you could hear being out of tune for most part) used autotune, dont know about the rest. Neither Margaret Berger or Gothminister used it either.
I don't understand the winning song, but this was honey to my ears.. I'm just happy none of the Dance songs won, as they are simple replicas of late 90s Danish dance music... I did not care for it back then, I really don't like it now... And yes, I'm gen X, fight me if you want... ;)
so in the same way Portugals win gave the contest much more class and importance to music abovee half naked dancers, bad singers and horrible lyrics - this song is what is need in Eurovision. Nowadays people look for a show and not the singer and song...the lyrics and the muisc. I think this would be a great EURO winner to re center the contest as a song contest...yes granted tastes do vary widely acroos Euro countries....but we really are getting to a point where freaksihness mascarades as talent....and way over the top appeal to the gay community and pandering....yes thats right I said that as a gay man....bring the contest front and center wihout a strip show...lovely song...beautifully sung and stage...genuine, simple and sincere. WE hope they win Melodi Final and are seen at Euro 2024.
