Imma be honest this build is going to be sick. But I never knew that the xt moon roof actually went back 😅😅 I’m glad I watched this video so I can fix mine
I love my XT!!! Cant wait to get it back together and build it out for some adventures. The infamous head gasket fail for me, but its almost completed and running again. Cant wait to see what you do with it!! Thx for sharing!
Fan bloody tastic!!! And you even stuck with the better looking version of the SG. Best news ever to come out of 2020. I think going 2.5 to 3 inch lift in the rear will be handy if you are going to carry a fair bit of gear in the back. I run 2 inch front and 2.75 lift at the rear and no body bothers me. I also have more ground clearance that most 4wds.
I really Love this forester 😍 we owned this exact forester xt with 220,000 miles and is still running really good. Wish you the best, really nice choice mate 🙌🏻
You’ll love your Forester XT, sorry for the loss of your other Forester, but congrats getting a nice looking XT, hopefully it will serve you well! I had an 04 XT manual, loved it, but sold it to another local Subie family and always missed it, still see it on the road from time to time. Found a premium 07 XT manual for sale and bought it that day, still have it years later and still love driving it. Now at 230,000 miles and the interior looks new, exterior could use a refresh though :)
I’m really keen to! Having a second wave of COVID doesn’t really help that. Hopefully it settles down later in the year and I can hold some events then
I'm curious as to what way you go with the AOS, IAG is the best but is for LHD only. I have looked at mine and have no idea where I would even mount it
I thought it was 5.2 0-100 and 13.8 quarter. I owned this exact model and a bit asthmatic up top and good low and midrange power, very surprising off-road in ruts and hills even standard 👌🏿

Even on the smaller lift, that's going to be an incredible build. Looking forward to seeing how v2.0 goes!
Yeah awesome! You'll love the XT offroad. Make total sense to stay on the same platform too. Looking forward to seeing it all come together!

Good on ya for sticking with the brand. The one you have looks mint, too!

Damn keen as to see this build, Welcome to the Turbo Forester club!
Do I count I have the beating heart of a 04sti built to 5-600hp In my lifted 03 Subaru Forester 2.5x

Lets Go! Welcome to the turbo Foz club :)
Such a good replacement man ! I would love to upgrade to an xt
I wondered if you might pick up the XT as a replacement. Good deal man!
Omg! I'm so excited of the xt build
Great approach with keeping it lightweight and learning from your previous build. Best of luck!
I am very excited to see this car turn into something badass. Very happy for you.
Hell yeah cant wait till you are done swapping all your stuff to your new forester! Love that its still silver!
Welcome to the XT club! Cheers from the States! I can't wait to see this bad boy once you get it up to snuff.
Looks good 🤘🏻
This forester has good brakes and handle better compared to 4x4 in general, you can avoid the Roos without the steel bullbar
Turbo + dual range is the dream. Mine has everything i could want except for the turbo.
Excited about this project for you! I love my stock 2004 XT!

Were going to have pretty similar set ups. nice clean off road sleeper. You should host a meet up sometime.

Congrats and good decision. Welcome to the XT club lol. Looking forward to viewing your new build series :)
Nice
Hey. good job man! Gonna keep watching your channel )
Ha! As I expected. Great to hear and see. The future is rosy. =))
Good luck with the XT project. I’d just skip the ugly bull bar 😂. Looking forward for the build 👍
Doesn’t matter if it’s ugly. It’s to expensive for me not to reuse it haha
Ignition Offroad I like the bar just in front of grill not the head lights, but yours is pretty heavy duty so I understand it could really protect 😉
Welcome to the off-road xt family.
I love this channel even more now xD
Nice! I’m curious to see how the gearbox and everything works with a turbo. (Me having a turbo forester SF)
I'm just here for the obscure Arnold reference in the thumbnail.
😂

That’s a very interesting point. I didn’t realise they were side specific so that changes things. Thanks for the heads up!
I always wanted to see a forester Xt with off-road mods on it good choice mate looking forward to the videos to come
I had a RS Liberty wagon years ago till it was stolen and miss the turbo pity I went for the non turbo XS but still very reliable.
Good call on the car switch. I always get too connected to the vehicle and make emotion driven decisions.
Yay!
yay, more forester fun. are you planning on keeping the sway bars on this one?
I think I will keep them but do the disconnect mod on the rear.
looking forward to the engine mods
Actually the manual transmission 2.5xt does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds :)
I thought it was 5.2 0-100 and 13.8 quarter.

@@turbodan78 if you launched it hard maybe it can do it in 5.2. But anyway, isn't it amazing that a 200hp car does 0-60 that fast
Well there you go, it's even better then! I got the stats from carsales.com so I don't know the accuracy of them.
what was the 0-100 in the naturally aspirated?
9.9 seconds (according to the stats on Carsales.com)
@@ignitionoffroad5028 cheers from adelaide!!
Lol yeah buddy
I knew it!
Let the mods begin.
👍
Welcome to subie XT ownership! You wont look back mate.
