Thank you for the simplicity and thorough explanation of things. This shop I visited wanted 1200€ (1287$usd) plus tax for the same job you did.

appreciate the tutorial! I have a 2013 bmw x6 35i so i imagine the front brake replacement will be the same or at least similar.

For European vehicles there is one major cheap investment tool. “Tire Tree”
This is exactly what it means….a threaded stud similar to the lug stud but without the lug attached. Makes it so you can slide the tire on the hub but maintains the position. You install about two trees one skip one space then the other one. Once it helps hold the tire in place you install three lug studs. After that unthread the two tire trees and replace with the remaining two lug studs….has saved my bacon many times and for only a few bucks should be a must have for any European vehicle maintenance….especially Tires.

I noticed you were only using a scissor jack. You should also have a floor jack snugged up against the frame incase of failure along with the wheel under the tire. Friend of a friend died by doing a quick break job. Wife and daughter came home to find his body.

That is great advice thanks. I will have redundant supports next time. Wheel and tire under frame is an easy one.

Awesome video. Can’t find as good of a deal as you did on fcp euro though.

How do the Textar epads work? Are they really quiet?

@@ballstondiy2101 went away on its own, had some idling that was strange for a while but also went away. Engine must have spit it out.

Omg dude…u need to properly torque your lugs. No way that drill of yours produce at least 100lbft. Extreme road hazard.
