You totally blow my mind that you always recall how many passengers and how long the flight was. I love that. When I fly lead, and the CPT tells me the flight time, if I don’t write it down on the spot, it’s gone from my head. 🤷🤷

You made me laugh!☺ Yes, for me, when I use to layover in San Francisco and our layover was at the Doubletree Hotel next to the golf course there in the Burlington neighborhood in San Francisco and it was a struggle for me. I use to want to go all the way into the city downtown area on those former layovers but I was afraid of not coming all the way back to that airport hotel in time for afternoonbus shuttle as well! ☺ For many years my former airlines like others use to own their hotels. So, my former United use to own a cute hotel downtown in the city there next to a cool hamburger restaurant and across the street from a donut & coffee shop. It was soo nice back then. But as airlines started to reduce their company expenses, my airline sold their hotel properties that they and other airlines to that they had brought from the 1960s to the early 1990s to then just have regular group contract reservations with hotels. The old PanAm and Eastern Airlines had hotels properties from the old days as well. But again airline management wanted to reduce the company expenses over the years and selling those old hotel properties was the thing to do to back then to increase the revenue. It was always interesting to me about learning things about our industry. In the end, after the hotel committees that pick layovers, we luck out and on that long layover downtown in SFO we got the Hyatt Hotel. It was nice and it is better to have the layovers in the heart of the cities for long layovers to me!☺ Hahaha, I never did the "special assignments" jobs to be on the Hotel Committee. Airlines in general still have those people to pick layover hotels. It is interesting!! ☺
