Graphically both look great, though the Sons of the Forest does have more life like visuals. Cleared The Forest, and just started to try out Sons.
Sons of the forest looks great and plays "ok" but it's hard to compare and finished game to a "still in development" game
But for now The Forest beats Sons in a few ways and Sons beats The Forest in others

Unfortunately, TAA on Unity is very unstable. In The Forest, TAA was better. For owners of RTX cards, an alternative to DSR up to 4K and DLSS 3.1.1 Quality, so I played on my 1680x1050 (DSR 3360x2100) monitor, at least ghosting, the picture is very clear and stable.
