I love the simplicity of the interior. The price is competitive but I sure wish the gas mileage were a bit better. Nice review guys!
Three things I wish it had - 360 view as the default in reverse, center cup holders in the second row and USB ports in the 3rd row.
John Marohn Chevrolet traverse had these three things
Wang Chenguang but it’s also 5k more and where I live in Canada it’s 64k vs 55k for the atlas
I wish it had LED turn signals, usb c ports for all rows of seats and more interior quality.
Owning one for a month already. Overall impression is good.
Pros:
-Big. I go for fishing trips, take my inflatable boat with me. Previously had CX-9, had to bring down one of the 2nd row seat to get this boat inside. With atlas i can keep them up, so i can take my family AND the boat together.
-MPG is better than i expected. I'm getting 23mpg on the trips which includes lot of mountain roads and some offroad. I had 17.5mpg on the same trips with my old Mazda. Getting 25mpg when cruising over the flat land.
-Nice offroader, well protected from the bottom. Good angles.
-Steering is good.
-Interior is practical, easy to clean from dust and dog's stuff. Just washed seats with lot of soapy water and they looks like new.
Cons:
-20inch is too much - bumpy ride, affects performance
-Jerky gearbox when in ECO mode - trying to switch gears too fast and too often, S mode is much better, but keeps rpm to high.
Will definitely keep it for 5 years. Thinking of lifting it up a little and putting offroad tires on 17 inch rims.
What's the more reliable engine for the longevity of the Atlas, the V6 or 2.0t? And which is cheaper to maintain?

It's one of those cars you gotta see in real life. There's quite a few driving around here in China and they look impressive when you stand next to em. The interior is underwhelming though.

Sam Said Korean cars have good values if you don’t care about aesthetics. They are cheap for a very good reason. Personally as long as I can afford, I will never buy a Korean brand car.
Not sure if I missed it but does it have an Auto Hold feature? Also, any in depth coming on the infotainment and changes there? Thanks for the great quarantine entertainment.
Hey there. We appreciate you turning in! It does not have auto brake hold and as far as the infotainment, nothing has really changed. We do hope to go through the infotainment system in an in depth tech help video eventually

Howdy, great review! I like the Atlas quite a bit, but it’s a shame that got rid of the LED front turn singles! The only turn off for me is the poor fuel economy! Y’all are awesome!😸😻😸

Get 2 litre Turbo with AWD. It is fuel efficient if fuel economy is your main concerns. 👍
@Joseph Payton That depends on engine. The one I have is very small 2 litre Turbocharged engine which is very proven fuel efficient compared to old Vr6 that is gas guzzler. Most V6 are gas guzzler since they have six cylinders.
Hybrid is next best option for fuel efficiency after four cylinders turbocharged and diesels.
More like a small refresh...
Atlas vs Pilot/Passport... thoughts?
Excellent video you guys. Is it possible to recline third row? I know some competitors offer that option to fold the row back and forth so I'd like to know

Equinox doesnt compete with the Atlas. The Traverse competes with the Atlas, where it absolutely crushes this. In my opinion, it has a way better interior.

They sold 81k of them last year a significant increase from previous years. It is a big seller for them
Atlas sells very well. It’s a very popular family car now. I am so happy I don’t have to pick from the same old same old Honda, Toyota, ford or the disappointing Subaru ascent.

It’d be nice to get some SEATs and SKODA and Renault and Peugeot and Citroen. Also some other models of FIAT and Alfa Romeo other than the few we have.
Actually 2.0T is faster 0-60 than the V6, and it’s better on fuel. So there is really no reason at all to pay extra for V6.
Still the best SUV for me to afford one bro.
I am sorry VW but you simply don't know how to built a car. There are always something major missing, a good transmission or electronic reliability or in this case fuel economy. These are not minor points... It's a shame after all these years still can't catch up with Korean cars. Yet it is a great looking vehicle
They should've dropped the 2.0T and upped the HP of the 3.6 V6 and added an optional TSI version of that V6. Put in a 10 speed automatic. For better fuel economy.. The engines are the weakest link in comparison to the competition.

They downgraded the headlights.I have never seen an automaker down rate the headlights in a refresh. How you gonna go from led turn signals to ugly incandescent turn signals. That was the worst decision made in the refresh.

@Antonio Zamudio Well no, I was just talking about the turn signals. The overall light design is nice. But led front turn signals are always a classy look.

@Antonio Zamudio welp one could say that the headlights are just as good as before since yes the headlight type is better, but then you have the downgrade of the turn signal which takes away the upgrade aesthetic wise.

The interior is still mostly cheap plastic and little tech and just overall outdated, before you say I am wrong, My mom owns a 2020 VW Atlas

The third row is awful. No more room than the Tiguan. Disappointed
