Eight episodes and one dragon fight. Instead of watching Vhagar burn sharp point we got to watch Alicent and Rhaenyra walking around in slow motion. What’s up with them secretly visiting each other for sentimental pleading? Utterly brainless. Never happened in the book. Both women were cut throat ambitious for their respective sides. Daemon spends episode after episode in Harrenhal having nightmares and wandering around. He touches the tree and sees Daenerys. Even that didn’t happen in the book. It’s pointless filler. George Martin also said something about the current writers taking someone else’s work and trying to make it their own through such alterations. They think they can do a better job than the original writer. Rhaenys seriously injures Aegon. Instead of then getting the fuck out of there, she faces Aemond head on and dies? How smart is that? In the first season, she doesn’t kill the usurpers during Aegon’s coronation. Just stares at them and flies out, only to show bravery later at the wrong time and die. Bad writing don’t you think? I can narrate many more brainless wonders but the wall of text is already big.

Totally agree, a snoozefest, nothing happened, no drama, no tension, no stakes, no urgency. Nothing. Nevermind the character assassinations. Bad season.
He is a human being after all. You forget his days with leana, what was he doing in pentos? Most of the time sitting in library and reading books. In season 1 he was fighting people and in 2nd with his own conflicts. He survived both.
This show just plain sucks. Rings Of Power is far superior. 2 episodes in and the show is just going full throttle. I made it exactly 4 episodes for this show and just had to call it quits. This is just garbage, but HBO would never pull the plug on this crap. They'd actually a dozen other shows far more entertaining to keep the lights on this sinking ship
