    Corrupt images with lines can be either the software/hardware not writing correctl or the card becoming corrupt, mostly this happens on bad cards. Try a different card, if it keeps happening look at swapping it out.

    Hello, great video, thank you for this information. I have the same camera, but it seems to be taking quite a long time to start recording, as if the motion sensors don't pick up straight away. I have the sensitivity set to maximum. Also, is there any way I can listen to the sound without plugging the camera to my computer (ie from the camera itself?) there is a plug that seems to be for audio, but my headphones won't plug in there. Thank you in advance!

    Great review, I have just bought a fairly low price trail camera, it say the trigger period is 0.3 sec, although that is correct for photos, the video seems to take around 5 sec before it starts to record. This is frustrating as I wish to use the camera to detect traffic, and the cars are normally out of sight by 5 sec. Any suggests?

    These cams are great, especially for the price. I picked up a couple of the hc-800 ones, then a couple of the hc-801. Sure, the vids aren't top quality, but for the price, they are good enough. What i found i love with these cams, is they are so cheap, and compact, that i'll put them just about anywhere, not worrying so much about if they were stolen.

    • @HopskysLounge
      @HopskysLounge  Před 3 lety

      Yea I like this trail camera. What other brands of trail cameras have you tried? Im always looking for other budget cameras to try, I like using cheaper trail cameras because bears like to destroy them and also if they get stolen its not as big of loss as having a couple hundred dollar trail camera stolen

    • @zzz7zzz9
      @zzz7zzz9 Před 3 lety +1

      @@HopskysLounge same here. I have cams that cost $300, covert cellular cam, browning cams, plus spypoint and some moultries. But got into the chinese brands on a whim. Actually, got a couple as gifts, and kinda laughed at them. Always considered them crap cheapo cams.
      But i have to say, i have more fun with them. The sunteks, they are so compact, i stick them anywhere. And costing so little, i'll put them out and not worry so much about them.
      So now, i have, i think, 5 sunteks. The 800 and the 801 models. Three of the gardepro A3. And two GRM 4K cams. I think that's all of them.
      I'd have to say, stay away from the grm. On video, it eats batteries for fun. But even worse, it's file size, for both videos and pictures, is enormous. And it's a shame, because it's a very sturdy and compact cam.

    I received one a couple of week's ago via Wish. When used for video recording (in the daytime) the video is almost black and white i.e. greyscale with just a hint of colour occasionally. It is very difficult to distinguish between similar birds with different colouring. Am I doing something wrong? I haven't had that problem with an Aucee camera which I bought several years ago and which is very similar in design. The Aucee is no longer completely waterproof so I wanted to replace it.

    • @johncordwell5129
      @johncordwell5129 Před 3 lety

      Since then, the camera has stopped working completely. It runs fully charged batteries down in less than 24 hours and complains of a "card error" when I know there isn't one. The instruction booklet has a warranty on the last page which says "contact us" but there are no contact details anywhere.

      this camera isnt a cell camera so in order to get the pictures on your phone you need to have a card reader to plug into your phone then you pull the sd card out of the camera and plug it into the card reader into your phone. Or what I do most often is just have an extra card and then I can swap it and check the pictures on my computer when I get home

    it sure does not look like 75 feet to your fence, maybe 30 feet (10 yards) did you actually measure the distance? most cheap cameras manufacturers lie about the detection distance and the illumination distance.
