  • Before we dive into the Invasions of Henry II and Edward I, I take a look at the Welsh Warriors. Some Hardcore characters who I think are often overlooked when exciting warriors cultures of history are discussed.

      I am glad you enjoyed it. I know that I have taken a long absence from posting. I will return with high quality though.
      What would you like to see next?
      I plan on doing a series about Ireland's resistance against England.
      I will follow with some Welsh warriors, specifically the ones who annihilated a group of Normans that attempted to seize power through treachery with sycophants.

      Thank you, although weapons change over time, I believe strategies are very old or were at least thought of by somebody else, as modern historians we can look at a battle tactic weapon etc, and analyze it for a few hours or weeks, these guys had a whole lifetime to not only ponder but test their strategies and abilities, on a daily basis.

It may take a while for me to do the conclusion to Henry's and later Edward's invasion of the Cymru. Ending with the final clash between Owain and England.
      I am currently involved in my state of affairs with my state. So I have given much attention to that, but I shall return.

    Man I've been searching for someone else that wants to show the true warriors of the Wales of old. I'm Welsh to my core and the way we are ignored across the world in favour of our neighbours is criminal . The legends alone are just incredible and the true history is even better. I wish I had the insight and the means to really dive into the "Welsh warriors" and the valley fighters like where I am from. For a tiny tiny country we punch waaayyyy above our weight in almost all areas. Unfortunately a whole load of English people in the past have treated us very badly. Even today we are sometimes treated with contempt in certain areas of England. I commend you for this video. And I'd love to work on a TV show if one ever popped up. Passionate Welsh man

      @@DedicatedSpartan brilliant I will be keeping an eye out for it. And it's strange how wales and Welsh history has been changed so much over the years to suit whoever was invading at the time. As we were a storytelling nation rather than written documentation a whole load of history has been forgotten or just taught as fiction and myth instead of factual history. The world lauds the rest of Britain while we are mainly ignored lol.

    • @lordsofafan372
      @lordsofafan372 Před 4 lety +1

      @@DedicatedSpartan it is sad. I'm almost a 100 percent positive there was a reason that the Romans and English had to change our history, and that story has never been fully told. Maybe there was a conspiracy a long long time ago to destroy the gaul or "celtic" history. Maybe it was so we never find out about how we were treated and abused by invading forces. It could mean that they don't want us to know just how powerful we once were. It's a historical whitewash I feel.
