That team was literally dead in the water two months ago. Insane.
As a Canucks fan I am glad Vancouver played Edmonton early and took them out when they did.
Well obviously they got such an easy schedule
Do you know what “literally” means? Does ANYBODY know what literally means? Haha
@@GoflamesreactsWdym they had such a easy schedule seems like someone’s just salty they lost
When you have the best player in the league, you're never dead in the water.
As a uk leaf’s fan. I think the leafs puck parade jokes are amazing lol. 😂
They’re the equivalence of Arsenal supporters, I swear. Always talking but never doing anything 😂😂
@@Commentsurveillancejust like my Cowboys 🥲😂
As a france leafs' fan I approve this message.
As a Hockey psychology fan i see this same comment in every vid
how do you watch the leafs ?
Canucks fan from Brazil, living in Vancouver for some years, watching NHL since 2020 and because of you I can clearly understand NHL in general. And indeed the Oilers are coming strong as hell in this Western Division
As an Oiler fan since the 80’s, this is what I want to see. I don’t care if McDavid never gets another 100 point season. If this what it takes to win a Cup, so be it.
Steve Yzerman knows.
I'm loving his physicality as of late, he doesn't need to light it up every night. McDrai didn't record a point last night...still won...and now we've got Corey Perry on the roster
McDavid is gonna craxk 120 and win the points race
Omg i am loving it . Oilers fan and ya just knew they were gonna turn it around
Mcdavid isn’t leading the league in every category, draisaitl isn’t leading the league in goals, we’re not only relying on the PP this season to get things done. Everything feels more balanced finally. From last to this season the Pp went from 1st to like 7th or something but the pk went from 21st to 9th. Backend legitimately did a 180 seemingly as soon as coaching change happen and Coffey came in
The Oilers starting slow but then choosing violence is surprising and cool, but the bigger surprise to me is the Nux; the League's undisputed champions of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory somehow becoming the top team in the league... I just want to see more Canadian teams doing well, and I really want to see Bettman's nightmare: an all Canadian team final.
Who from the east can get there? Not ths leafs, man.
@@ostarakonrad9907 Ya, that's the problem. The contenders are all in the West. The Leafs have a terrible playoff history, even when they are good. No better example than 2021, losing to the last team to make the playoffs, the Habs.
@@my3dviewsThe Habs made the finals that year...?
Am I the only person who isn't surprised that the oilers are doing well? Lol. My other prediction is that McDavid catches Mackinnon and Kucherov and wins the points race
@@joshpatterson05 No, you are not the only one. I was telling people that they would get out of the slump and make the playoffs. Can't say that I predicted a 13 or more game winning streak though. They have out preformed all expectations by passing so many teams in the standings that quickly. Hopefully they continue at, at least a winning pace to get a good playoff position.
😂😂 the cup parade joke always gets me
Watching that moment live where nate gave up the Hattie to OC who is having a breakout year and broke his career record for goals in that game was incredible. I was grinning ear to ear for a while after that. Absolute class move from nate
I’m supposed to hate the Avs as a Canucks fan, but I can’t bring myself to do anything but respect players like MacKinnon and Macar.
Oilers fan here and if I’m honest at the start of December I was thinking we’d be fighting tooth and nail till April to get into a wild card spot. The fact we’re already 3rd in our division and it’s not even the all star break yet blew my mind.
And you guys are bottom of the league without McDavid. Thank you for robbing the rest of the league of seeing how good McDavid is at hockey, because you guys have trapped him on a team that is as good as the Sharks without him. Being an Oiler fan is embarrassing. Worst office in the league. How many 1AO's? Trash franchise that made Gretzky cry.
@@robotba89Lol. Lmao even
@@robotba89 this is what an idiot sounds like everyone
SALT@@robotba89
@@robotba89ROFL, definitely a Leafs fan eh? Still salty your saviour prince didn’t get delivered into your arms like you believe he should have been? If McD’s tide can’t float all boats and raise the level of the team, then all he’s gonna be is a super star. If he builds a team up and they win the cup, he will be a Legend. McD didn’t make the oilers and if they ever win the cup, it’s because that team has improved dramatically. Top 4 Gretz era Oilers all became super stars in their own right because Legendary players like that build a team. McD is becoming the monster he is because he is fighting for a win, not just parachuted into some upper market dream team. Building a team up is what makes the kid the man he is now.
i’m so proud of my oilers, boys are working so hard and we’re buzzing now
that drai and mcdavid moment on the bench was a turning point..
Just a quick side note, me and my dad were watching the Canuck’s and Maple Leafs game yesterday, and about 95% of those goals that were scored were just not predictable goals. Literally every time a team scored me and my dad would say “how did that go in!?”
I watched my dad rage quit that game in the first period....then he wandered back during the second only to rage quit again in the 3rd lol
Nylander even was like how did that go in on his second goal.
that’s hockey
@@dolandarkxgrandayy6953first one was screened by Myers, second one took a deflection off a stick.
Jets and Canucks are doing the unimaginable. Maintaining a high level of play without a single hiccup in the first half of the season. And what is it now, 35 straight games for the Jets not allowing more than 3 goals? Insane! I think that streak comes to an end vs the Bruins tomorrow, but we’ll see.
We already beat Boston this year, can’t see them running up the score on us
Oilers fans should look at the fact that they went on a 13 game winning streak.. but literally only closed 3 points off the gap to the Canucks..
@@Mellowyellow8888exactly 💯 canucks are getting under rated.
@@KingNailohyou spoke too soon 😂

The leafs cup parade is my favorite running gag on the internet lol
This year’s version? Vancouver.
Hey I just want to say I’m so happy channels like yours exist - I’ve grown out of following hockey religiously and just a weekly recap like what you do goes a long way to people like me for staying connected with the game. Thank you. Much love.
The Leafs puck parade bit is a top tier meme for the hockey community
Could you do a breakdown on Nikita Kucharov?
In the queue
I look forward to these recaps every week. Keep them coming🤘🏻🤘🏻
"And Flower wins an Oscar." damn he committed to that bit by leaving the whole game
great job with a nice review of recent NHL highlights during the season.
and glad to hear Bedard is back too!!!
Canadian history.
Pitt won 17 in a row, for those who are curious.
Wasn't there an interview were someone said no team ever got 16 straight wins.
Too tie Pittsburgh, they have to win every game up to the all star Break. And beat Vegas first game back after all stars
usa yes. talking about Canadian teams.
@georgioantoine4194 i think he's saying U.S.A. = better 😎
Well he's wrong once again. Typical American@@winkletown8828
in a sea of steve dangle types (not hating or have any issues with him, just not my style), it's so refreshing to have just straight up non-sensationalist videos that make hockey the star of the show
I LOVE THE INSTRUMENTALS IN THE BACKGROUND. Great videos man thank you
Another solid weekly recap. And love the Leafs Parade Tracker. Effing hilarious.
these weekly recaps of the nhl are fantastic!
Seeing Quinn Hughes express that much anger is what surprised me most this week 😅
Awesome recaps. Love them !
Outstanding week 15 recap. 👍
Im a pretty big hockey gambler, watching your videos has helped me profit quite a bit the past month. Happy i found your channel, great breakdowns.
Love the beats you use for the vids man🤙🏽
Great overview❤❤❤❤
Keep crushing all these breakdowns!!
VGK Fan here. No question Edmonton is on a mission and everyone should take notice. Yes, I want Vegas to repeat, but hockey is so much better when there is at least one Canadian team making waves. I hope to see a rematch of VGK and Edmonton in the playoffs.
No one cares about a Vegas fans opinion. Trust me 😂
You got carried by the refs against the habs.
@@ArmDog_ I do enjoy your ignorance
What the parade is canceled, but I watched that game??? Love the breakdowns and weekly video on Sunday!!!!!
NOT THE PARADE!
Also damn i need the devils doctors to start making miracles happen
oilers being as strong as they've been makes me happy
Also that battle of alberta game was brilliant and a fun watch. Had I been a flames fan, I wouldn't have walked away too disappointed cause they really did make it quite the show
Yo great vids! Can you title these to include the week number and "recap" as opposed to the other breakdown type vids?
I'm a leafs fan, but I'm tempted to cheer for the Oilers from now on.
Why not the jets
Love these vids, have you thought at all about PWHL similar updates? Pretty great game toronoto/mtl last night they could use the coverage
Can you break down the devils? As a devils fan I am completely disgusted with their play and I would like to see what other people think
Planning on it
Yes sirsku
Hiya
These titles always work to get me to click 😂. Love your videos
Edmonton is the best story so far IMO. It's easy to pile on them when they were in the basement, now they're exactly where they should be and that's amazing given the fact that neither McDavid nor Draisaitl is running away with a scoring title. Hopefully we see them do damage in the playoffs, as McDavid is in his 9th season, and "hasn't won s***" 👀
and hell continue to not win shit, they are on a tear, but they are still shit on defense and goaltending, they arent beating any legit contender
@crazysoundman mate, you haven't watched one of their games on the last two streaks if you still think they're shit on defense. Same with skinner, in the last ten he's let in less than 2 goals a game.
Canucks # 2 story
21 wins and 3 losses in their last 24 games… they are doing something right on D and in goal.
@@crazysoundman They've only given up 22 goals in the last 13 games, with a maximum of 2 in the streak.
Who's a legit contender? Boston, who they haven't played yet? They have beaten some good teams. Like the Rangers, Flyers, Golden Knights and the Kings so far this season. Lost to the Jets on overtime.
What a turnaround it has been since the coaching change! Unreal
Vancouver/Toronto was a great game
Are you going to cover PWHL? maybe on another channel? Love your content format. Would love to hear some PWHL new in this format.
underrated channel
As a long time fan of the Oilers, I was surprised to learn that the dynasty from the 80s didn't have any prolonged win streaks. You would think with the all-star teams they had back then that they would have put some lengthy streaks together.
We lost to Nathan and the Avs but we fought hard. In Danny Keith and Torts we trust. Lovin this year’s Flyers!
That first goal should have that officiating crew and toronto under investigation, literally blind
I know you don’t really talk about the Sharks, and I know they are obv so far away from even getting a playoff spot, but we got to give credit to their captain Logan Couture who was out since training camp. As a Sharks fan, I thought he wasn’t going to play at all this season, and he came back last night and crushed the Ducks. One of their best playmakers (and my favorite player ever) Mikael Granlund got injured the game before and is out with an upper-body injury, and somehow they managed to keep their game.
As a Flames fan whos team is gonna be in the sh*t for probably the next 4-6 years, I am happy to see other Canadian teams being successful and I hope one of them wins this year, even Edmonton.
The Avalanche are 4th in the league without 4 of their best players, but the young up and coming stars are playing huge for this team.
And Nate MacKinnon is the NHL points leader right now. When they eventually get Lehkonen, Nichushkin, Byram and Landeskog back, they’re gonna be brutal.
I’d like to see a trade prediction video from you.
Probably can't expect a video on the Perry signing but it'd be interesting
1:07 - I think that was the turning point for Edmonton. McDavid and Draisitl doing that was them saying to each other “we’re gonna do this together” and they have
as a Flyers fan I just gotta say those beige pant uniforms are KILLER. jeez they are sick.
Do a Red Wings Video please. Really enjoying your content. But would love to hear what you have to say about the Wings.
Growing up watching Ovi, so sad to see age finally hit him
Crazy!
Been watching for a while, wondering why the lack of thoughts on the rangers game play, I feel like things they've got going on are interesting and worth a mention, especially their recent fall from top of the league to a team that loses more than not
My thoughts exactly.
15 second coverage on Winnipeg jets who are in second place overall in NHL is business as usual
I guess Toronto is truly the centre of the universe and we need to understand this
Take a shot every time you hear cup parade challenge.
I like what the Jets are doing. Out of all "Canadian" teams, Winnipeg is my pick.
Couple weeks ago, Hockey Psychology did a breakdown into why the Jets are winning games this season.
You should make a video about the wildcard race currently
God I love those retro nucks jerseys. With the matte black buckets they've got my vote for best NHL jerseys of all time.
Let’s go oilers! We’re buzzing 🔥🔥
I'm not surprised about the Oilers whatsoever. They have been Stanley Cup contenders for the past 2 years.
What app do you use at 3:11? It looks cool
it’s the NHL app
Oilers are impressing me.. However with their 13 game heater. They have only gained 1 point on the Canucks.. Both teams are insanely hot right now.
As a bruins fan I like how you say the bruins aren’t setting records but they are still a good team
Canadas big teams [not the leafs] are doing good this year.
Can you please consider making a quick video about how Rangers started 18-4-1 but have gone 11-11-1 since? Especially if they keep slumping.
Seemed really balanced and dominant but some skeptics were calling it luck. Now they look pretty beatable and can't generate any offense besides PP and 1st line. Was it luck early on? What happened to Vezina Igor? Would love your breakdown
The Flyers are pulling their own weight knowing it was supposed to be a rebuild year now their fanbase believe now they can make the playoffs
they are for sure making a deep playoff run this year !
@@ThisIsEduardo I agree and as a rangers fan it the one team I'm worried about because the former coach knows them in and out
@@brandensimmons653good point
It’s been finally entertaining at the Wells Fargo after Fletcher’s Sh*t show the past few years. Way to go Danny Keith and Torts!
Seeing them absolutely dominate Dallas this week, with Dallas being the “sleeper” according to the guy in this video, should tell you all you need to know. The talent might not be good enough, but the team chemistry and effort are.
Glock Faber out here grinding
My Kraken are going through a bad stretch right now. Star Defenseman out. Former Calder winner and current sophomore slumper out with possibly a second concussion in a year span. We might be selling come trade deadline if we can't get going again.
Even if you are not a Oiler fan. If they win a cup this year it would be a perfect documentary/movie script.
I was at that Saturday Canucks game absolutely awesome game
Lucky! Looked like a playoff-caliber game.
all i gotta say is Oilers and the pick up of Perry will be very interesting for teams to come
Small correction, oilers were 2-9-1 to start.
The Oilers being a literal bottom of the barrel team and then going on an absolute massacre to be almost at the top of the West is absolutely crazy.
As a Major Sharks, Coyotes, Red Wings, and Canucks fan, I've got my picks locked in. As the Sharks taught me against Vegas back in 2019, "It ain't over till it's over". Do I think Sharks are gunna make the playoffs? Not gunna sugarcoat it, no. Do I think San Jose is still gunna have a great year, and come flying out of the gate next season? You bet your ass. Those fans are incredible, and San Jose 110% deserves a Stanley Cup. Vancouver as well, I think they are absolutely on fire, and I'd love to see a cup out of them, it's about time since they got robbed by the Bruins in 2011. Hopefully Vancouver will have their windows boarded up by then. Lastly, I don't see the Wings or Yotes excelling. Both look very strong, but every league needs a "middle of the pack". Hoping the Coyotes can explode and really show off some of that star power, They've got the talent. Wings too, for an original 6 team, they really hang in there.
@@hockeyaddict7007 Welp, consider me unique then. I've watched all kinds of sports, and have managed to pick the loser of the super bowl like 14 years in a row (Not cap, it pisses me off lol, the last one didn't help), so I just have a bunch of teams I like, so that way, if 2 of them square up, I can be happy regardless who wins, and I got a better shot at making the playoffs if any of them make it. Call me bandwagon all ya want, but I genuinely don't care, I love Hockey and love the teams that play it. Nuff' said.
As a fellow Sharks fan, I can agree.
13 in a row, but what in Hells name were they wearing?!?
Same sweaters they wore for the first BOA earlier in the year that was outdoors
It's their heritage classic Jersey. They originally wore it for the outdoor game against Calgary earlier this season.
I’m excited to watch the islanders game just to see how he does tonight and I think the islanders have a good chance. Ur thoughts,
Bolts fans are disappointed by the lack of consistency but are hopeful. Would be nice to see SS finish his career in a Lightning jersey but if JB can get value, I would pull the trigger whenever the opportunity presents itself.
These videos are incredible. The editing, the music, the analysis. All of it.
The Kings slide is killing me. Started hot but really dropped off
So happy to Patty Roy back in the big league. And The Isles broke their losing streak last night. The NHL needs him to be here.
Shoutout to my man SAM GAGNER who scored the GAME WINNING GOAL, his first time ever wearing a non-traditional Oilers crest. 350 bucks for a Gagner winter classic official jersey, worth every penny
The cross check on Reilly into the net was a non call by the way. So many soft calls all game and they let that one go
I hope that I'm wrong, but i get this feeling that the Canucks will get a nosebleed from a nosedive.
Lane’s firing was privately announced by the owners four or five days before Roy was confirmed as the next coach of the Isles.
What's scary is, that was perhaps the Avs worst overall performance of this recent road trip. And that's including the Montreal loss. They got outplayed by Philly when you talk about possession and shots.
Artturi Lehkonen will be back on Wed, and Bo Byram is not far behind. They still have a big hole at 2C, and they should be in the running for Marc-Andre Fleury, as Georgie just really needs a veteran voice and the team needs a goalie who can start a bunch of games.
Also keep in mind that if the Avs make the right moves, KHL up and coming star Nikolai Kovalenko will likely come over mid-March and slot in on the 4th line. If they get that 2C, they go from being a 2 line team to rolling all 4 and being dangerous.
Never in my life did I think I'd hear Boston called "quiet" LMAO
Could you imagine a Torts vs Roy playoff series
What the hell did i miss
as a lifetime flyers fan, im 20, idk how to feel about this season lmaooooooooooooo
So happy for Heino! He was a madman last night! I like it better when Boston stays off the radar and just handles business.
That pat will go down as a nhl moment forever, as this record unfolds
dallas has had few games where they are objectively bad the entire team feels like its nice to be there. i dont expect to just get one series outa this team im on board for hoping ona finals run knowing that divisional round is gonna be a legit challenge and a finals wont be a wash either. but when has this team of mine ever made it easy XD point being theyre not the cowboys they have a legitimate chance and not many glaring flaws, its easy to be optimistic here and i think thats what every fanbase ultimate wants. we wanna believe. and i do.
Dude hit a goalie in the trapezoid. That should be an automatic 1 game at least. And depending on the severity, it should go up from there.
It's wild that the Avs are in 4th with terrible goaltending. If Georgiev got his poop in a group and they get back Lehkonen, Byram and Val, they are going to be massive after the All-Star break.
Glad you realised before the end of January that the Sharks are just going to sit out this years' playoffs :P
Jets parade looking possible tho
It doesn’t seem so long ago that the CZcams comments sections were filled with ridiculous armchair ‘expert’ demands to trade McDavid, Draisaitl, Hyman and Kane etc. Thank goodness this current win streak has mercifully shut them all up.👍🏾
