The Bolton Bullfrog Unique and such a voice, I have loved this album and Bernard's voice for so long. Saw him a couple of times - he was a big lovely man who filled the room with his voice but also with his personality. I checked and was so pleased that Bernard's still with us and working. I have never seen the film Brassed Off but now I'm on a mission. I owe a debt to BBC Radio 5 who interviewed a guy today with the same kind of voice but not the same accent. This man is a legend.

I know scottish, irish and english songs since 35 years. But this one is new and really great. Stunning voice. Need to learn and copy it.

Just found this after searching for a long time.... my brother used it sing it in the late 80's. Its sad that these traditional songs that will be lost without some action!...im doing my best to pass them on.

Sore Throat (crust / grindcore) covered this song. Being one of my favorite bands I searched on the title of the song. This original is so freaking awesome. Always assumed that this was an original song by Sore Throat.
    So cool

Great voice. To get such voice you need to smoke cigars for 1 year, but the glowing end must be inside. My godness. The word awesome is usually not amongst my commonly used words. But in this case? Yes it fits perfectly.
Thank you 1000 times for bringing this song to me. Great job.
    Regards from Frankfurt

To get a voice like this you need to stub cigars out on your vocal chords for at least a year

I love this song! My father owns this record and for years I had been trying to find it on CD, but no luck in The Netherlands. Now through the link you posted I was able to buy the record digitally from Bernard Wrigley's site. Thanks! :)

Take a look at the 'Harp and a Monkey' version of this song. Both versions are fantastic.
