(minus the piano players who have experienced a tiny bit of kpop prior to this video eheheheee)
For the first video of this serious, and their introduction to the world of kpop, I decided to show them Big Bang's Fantastic Baby and 2NE1 I'm the Best!
Next week, I will be posting their reactions to EXO's Mama and Overdose (the musicians who have reacted to it so far have been very, veRY...enthusiastic XD)

Only K-pop group they actually appreciate is EXO, because, they know EXO's music they know are perfect. Prescilla Sabalbarino I just want you to know, old kpop vs. new kpop is so different from each other, but since you seem to know nothing about these groups, I’ll let it slide. Big Bang and 2ne1 were literally the biggest groups of the that time, so it spread out kpop more. EXO is mainstream, most kpop is mainstream and you just have to accept it. Real kpop fans don’t hate on other groups for no reason. But go join your EXO-ls (that sometimes I’m ashamed to be one because of people like you) and enjoy what you like without being disrespectful.

YG artists ARE REALLY WEIRD, but in a REALLY GOOD way! They are weirdly original! G-Dragon got me into K-Pop and now I can't escape (and I don't want to escape)!
They were the ones who got me hooked on KPOP too. You'll either love them or hate them, but it cannot be denied that they always leave a strong impression. 😉
i got into kpop because of bigbang and 2ne1's lollipop commercial song lmfao! YG artsist are unique even to kpop! but that's whats the best about them!!! also no other girl group with a fierce concept as 2ne1 anymore. they went fierce with EVERY comeaback they had!

Important to note that there is a shitton of symbolism tied to what all the individual members went through before this video was made (this video was made after quite a long hiatus). Gdragon has colored lips because he was in a drug scandal in which he smoked marrijuana which he was heavily critisized for in Korea. Taeyang is meditating with monks because he went of the radar. TOP is seen in paintings because he was acting in movies, Daesung is seen in front of a crashed car because he got in a car accident before the video was made. Seungri is seen with a lot of women around him because he had a lot of sex scandals. You're welcome!

No it's not mate.Just like Gangnam style,these videos are so over the top and different from the rest that if not for the language,would not even name it "Kpop". Don't get me wrong,they are catchy,but that's not the point.

truly if u know kpop from the first generation this videos are not that big of a deal, but for thoes who just came into, might think it is, kpop is not the plaint look, it has so many different influences, that the thing that actually made it as a gender was being popular in korea (the influences from the jazzy melodic songs taking place of trot, and even trot itself, the hip hop, rap, pop rock and american pop). Now since is set up after all this generations it became the kpop music gender, need to be a solo or be a formation with at least two people, be part of a hole music prodution, companies, trainning but thats not how it started there were a lot before it and behind it, many artist u may not even know and everyone of them is part of it, even thoe u might dnt like them and think its just over the top
kpop is wide. this is just a part of kpop, iconic tho

thats really something, i think its because in some point we all hunt so much for new stuff to play that kpop end up jumping in along the way
The 2 fiercest groups in K-pop! They are my both my favorites. I am a bit confused though because they chose Bigbang and 2NE1 to introduce these people to K-pop when we know for a fact that these 2 groups do not necessarily represent typical K-pop. These 2 groups actually broke the typical K-pop mould and I love them even more for that. They are not generic at all.
So strange to watch your most recent video and then come here to see the first generation of reactors... we're so proud of how far you've come!

2ne1 was like the kpop group (not only girl group) can match bigbang or win over bigbang. Bigbang is always be the legend so is the 2ne1. No other group (old or new generation) can ever touch the almighty Bigbang and 2ne1! VIP and Blackjacks forever! This is the forever Couple Band that no one can ever touch!

See, I love react videos but this series takes the cake. As a musician, yes, I like hearing about how pretty they are and their amazing dance moves set in beautiful cinematography, but it's the music that I'll jam to. Also, see they barely care about not being able to understand it.
This came up on my recommended and its so interesting how the channel has evolved but also how the reactors are no longer so shocked by the crazy stuff in kpop mvs hahaha

When you watch the newer videos their reactions are so different. I love the progression they have
One of the underrated things about this channel is the comedic timing of the editor(s) of these videos. 5:09 Whoever cut off Umu's 2NE1 rant and added "shut up, umu" simply put, "gets it." And that's impressive as this is the FIRST video on this channel (or at least the first one that followed this "Musicians React" format, I think, that has made this channel a beloved Kpop community staple). So well done, Umu or Umu's editor.

I'm really excited for this series, I was really curious about how Classical Musicians would react to songs like these. I think the next few videos should include, Mamamoo, Ladies Code - The Rain, Davichi, and some of the popular groups like IOI, TWICE, Red Velvet, Black Pink and put some live performances like from Girl Spirit, Immortal Songs or Duet Festival :)

So this was the beginning, interesting to see how everyone grown into kpop and how you all have grown. I mean, the video editing, sound, footage quality and the way you guys reacts also changed, you guys learned how to talk to the camera. Just like how BIGBANG is the Kings of K-POP, SUJU as Kings of Hallyu Wave, EXO as Nation's Pick and others.
