I've got an order with Xtrusion Overland for a 17" rack right now that I placed back when you first showed your's. The customization was what really sold me, I've got some ideas for my build that I think only their racks could accommodate. I can't wait to get it and install it on my Gladiator!

Thank you for sharing. I've been going back and forth between the cap and the rack. That removes many of the short comings on the rack.

  • @00DUCK

I really love your system. I am really concerned about being able to lock the side panels down and maybe having a rear gate that is locking. It is more for peace of mind and the ability to not worry about people with sticky hands. I suppose one could probably fabricate a rear door or gate and find a way to lock it in place as well as maybe install locks on the side somehow. I really like the price range for the JT as well. So many other caps/racks are well above $3k-$4k or more. I'm not quite ready for a rack or cap yet but next spring or summer I will be. Xtrusion is at the top of my list though. Thanks!

Terrific use of extrusion. I agree, It's like a Lego set for guys. Also a very cool shelf. I have been thinking about something similar in my topper. I have moved away from the bed rack to keep dust and rain out of my gear and theft being a problem in town. Now I'm using an ARE contractor 3-door Toyota topper I shortened 13 inches to fit my Gladiator.

    Unrelated question
How do the milestars 02s do in the snow? I’m currently using the kenda klever RTs and personally absolutely love them and they do great in the snow surprisingly.
I’m asking because I’m about to move up north (moving military bases) to Montana.
My kendas have served me great and I honestly can’t complain one bit! However I’m currently running a 285/70R17 on the kendas. And I wanna go just a tad bit larger on my Silverado. Milestar shows a 295/70r17 on their site and that would add a 1/2inch based on the actual measurement specs from my kendas to the mile stars. So I’m considering buying the 02 version of the milestars.
Also where do you buy them??? I’ve looked everywhere I usually buy tires and they only seem to show the 1st generation of the Patagonia my. I can’t seem to find the 02 anywhere 😅
    Ty!
