through the monotony of being indoors and every day feeling the same, it's been lovely to mix things up by trying new things. one of those was waking up at 5am (sorry, I am definitely not a morning person) and dipping my toes into learning spanish! it's kept my week interesting and refreshing to focus on myself and my well-being. That’s so true, especially when it comes to humour. I feel like languages are like music they all have a different vibe and energy. And that’s why sometimes we switch language depending on what we want to express because it will suit more. Personally I speak French, Créole from Guadeloupe (my country) and English fluently and I’m learning Spanish and Korean.

There is this book I'm reading, "The Genius of Language," and I think it's something that you'd find a lot of interest in reading! It's composed of 15 writers who depict what the English language means to them and how it affects the relationship with their mother tongue. It inherently describes how learning a new language impacts one's life, especially when it comes to finding the balance between cultures. It gave me a newfound appreciation for my Viet heritage and inspires me to learn more languages. Very interesting to see how people of all backgrounds talk about their lives through one language and humbling to see how much dedication they put forth to learn a language we practically were born with.
Also, might I add that I've been a long-term follower and I absolutely love the content you put forth. I really want to start my own CZcams and you've been one of the biggest inspirations for me out there!
