My two cents on REJECTION - as artists we're all looking for that 'big break' opportunity, but the reality is if it was handed to us right out of the gate, a couple of things tend to happen:
1. We'd poop our pants because we haven't had time to eeeeease into the big role
2. It's SO much more gratifying when we do land the big gig BECAUSE we've suffered rejection
My personal formula when I feel that "f*ck you Universe, let's do this damnit!"
Step 1: I remind myself that everything has ALWAYS worked out for me 👩🏻🎤
Step 2: I deliberately look for evidence of how great my life is 👀
Step 3: I KNOW FOR SURE that there is a perfect time for everything ⏱
Step 4: There's a reason I have talent and it's not within me so I can sit on the couch and binge-watch Netflix, but I do need to stop the struggle and CHILL 🌄
Step 5: I watch Marie TV and let her remind me that 'the world needs your particular gift' 🚀

Ahh, I just love when things come to you when you're ready for them (like the conversation with Lucas!)... finally getting around to watching this! Nina's question and your response to her was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. It's so helpful to hear with certainty that having a day job is not giving up on my dream, and that by showing up and being my best during my time there I can have more energy when I get home to continue pursuing my other goals. I think that perspective will help me shift my thoughts of feeling like it's draining me and taking me away from things I want to do to it actually being really beneficial. Thanks so much!!

Marie, you have no idea how much I needed this today!! When you gave advice to the musician lady about eating rejection for breakfast, each rejection means getting closer to success and each rejection is gods protection...i so needed to hear this today. I am transitioning into being a full time photographer and fear has been trying to get the best of me and I will not let it! These messages brought me to tears, it was like a breakthrough moment for me so thank you, thank you, thank you!

It`s hard Marie, I have three kids and a hubby. He helps me so much already. At times I don`t even have time to make lunch. I`m so behind on my project, but doable. And, we home school and I`m taking training courses in 2019 to better my skills. OMG, it all sounds great but very, very difficult.
