Well, it works, because you have an unobstructed view at the window. Try the same technique with the plant covering half of the window..
one of the better videos on CZcams ! thank you
I do all my own editing so really appreciate your willingness to share this technique.
You’re very welcome!
Great tool to know how to do windows if you can’t take a flash. Thank you!
what a great tutorial - I'm now a big fan of yours.... thanks!
You're very welcome!
Just shooting a window pull with flash and then darken mode in post and you would be done in about 1/10th the time it took to do this. Time being money for a photographer/editor this seems to be doing things the extremely long way around. It is a different technique to add to your toolbox but one you would never use.
Always good to know how even if you don't use it every day. Like knowing how to change a tire. Comes in handy when you need it.
Definitely my go to technique too. Way easier and great results. This video seemed like a ton of extra work.
@@zachbrown9358 And occasionally you forget to get the window pull shot. My older brain does that occasionally.
the moment you pick the pen tool, i left this message and skip your video. on your example it's easy because there's no blinds or stuff like plants or flowers around the window.
Fair enough. I guess I could have used a selection method like color range which would have been useful in those situations. I’ll see if I can find some raws for images like that and do a video doing that. Thanks for the idea.
What tool would you use for the task?
Great video $
Thanks! You should check out my course for more helpful info.
You know, having a higher contrast outside the windows will direct the eyes there and not in the interiors.
for a dollar a pic..i'll be sending overseas...lol
Thanks, very interesting but why bother? Just shoot a window pull.
Yep I agree - but always good to know a different method incase your flash fails or forgot to take a flash shot.
slowest technique
I blend my imges...never used a pen tool...pen tool is for noobs!
Your final product doesn’t look as good as the overseas editors will make it bro - let them save you time 💯💯
I agree you can save a bunch of time sending over seas but even if you found a great editor, you still need to know how to do this all yourself. Like having a wicked self driving car - you still need to have a license and know how to drive yourself.
Why waste so much time doing it this way?
