I don't understand why him didn't perform Fowl Affair on the Corduroy Riddim. They didn't have that riddim there? For me, that took away something from an otherwise good performance. When you recording something for history, man, you have to record it good.

I agree with Teach Dem. Real artist should be able to perform on any riddim. That's what promote unity. Every artist can jump on a riddim playing. New artist these days can only perform on their "beat" not even gonna call it them riddims no more.

Anyway, my understanding is the Original Rub-A-Dub and Original Dancehall series are mainly supposed to introduce the present generation to the older and also pioneer artistes, so youngsters can put a face to the songs they might have been hearing or will be hearing for the first time. Nostalgia for the older generation who is already familiar with the songs. Point I'm making is the rhythm is very important, especially a boss riddim like Corduroy. I personally don't think the Sleng Teng riddim suits Fowl Affair. Sounds good yes, but 60% less good than with the Corduroy riddim. Plus you don't play around with your biggest hit and treat it like just another song on an LP or CD - when it is the title song. His next big hit Get Smart sounds good because the Sleng Teng and Joy Ride riddims are kind of similar.
