Vacuum lines at the pedals are for the cruise control. There is one vacuum/electrical switch on the brake and one on the clutch. Make sure everything is properly connected and not leaking, otherwise the cruise control won't work.

From my experience, If you start thinking that you should "burn this shit" ,it means you are close to the end 😉

I saw you stripping the wood veneer off the console in the last video, and wondered how you were going to get THAT back. I see in this video you bought a different dash and console.
I'm desperately seeking a method of restoring that wood grain. It's like a thin wood veneer with a thick clear coating flowed over it.

Well, our center console had some more issues so we decided to swap it. If we wanted to repair its wooden trim we would probably have used the same contact glue from Bison that we also used to repair the dash pad. Might be worth a try as that is still holding up (3 months now).

You would have saved 1 year of restauration if you had bought a DeWalt dcf850 and a dcf900

I was going to rebuild my 1995 850 wagon but now I don’t think I’ll do that!

@@MusTRitch thanks! I’m already doing that. It’s a slog for sure. I’ve owned the car for 27 years now and I hate to see it go. Unfortunately I’m 75 years old myself at this point. I don’t know if I can finish it.

Wow, 27 years is a long time. I imagine you really got a bond with your 850. We wish you the best of luck and hopefully you'll be able to at least enjoy the journey of restoring it!
