  • Killiney Hill Park is an amazing maritime public park on the east coast of Ireland overlooking Dalkey and Killiney villages, about 15 kilometers south of Dublin. It’s a coastal area of outstanding natural beauty, with elevated rocky hills, lush before pristin e woodlands, and sea views that stretch for miles. Here, the very rich have built some of the finest houses in Ireland.
During this entertaining tour of the park, local historian Michael O’Flaherty identifies features that were designed when the domain was the private property of wealthy landowners and after it was opened as a public park in 1887.

Drank many a drink and danced with a few girls up both hills in my youth but the finest thing I ever saw up there was a view of USS JFK (CV-67) moored in Dublin Bay, good times. Thanks for this fine little production.

Pleased you enjoyed the video. During next summer we will make video about 'Blackrock' which is just a few miles from Killiney, north along the coastline.

This is such a brilliant informative video of Killiney and Dalkey Hills, the scene of my childhood. I learned quite a lot of new information too. Bringing family here for a visit next summer so a lovely introduction for them, thank you so much.

Great video - thank you! Where can one find more information about the "Queenstown" proposal on Dalkey Hill. I grew up here and this is the first I ever hear of it - I'm intrigued.
