Aries don't take "steps back". They just exit lost situations when they become a waste of time.
All due respect, this is a very close-minded way of viewing it, or at least a very young and inexperienced view.
"Taking a step back" for me (as an Aries), is about slowing down my emotional momentum and taking the time to question and (hopefully) understand where my intense feelings are coming from. I am impulsive, and when something feels good, I tend to dive headfirst and vice versa... but the first step for any human seeking self-improvement is to recognize those (potentially) harmful impulses and turn the subconsciousness more conscious...

And I’m sober and need the break because he won’t stop his drinking and it’s getting too much for me. I don’t want to relapse. I won’t relapse and this the boundary of space. But true to form he rocked up at mine today with his booze. I said no drinking in my home and he went pop. I just am so over this bullshit!

It's complicated. But that's what makes it interesting. I watched this reading and just smiled. One of the most fascinating and difficult years I have been through in my life and let me tell you, that's saying something from me. But it had some really good stuff mixxed in. It had everything. It's been amazing. And it's not over. It is still being played out. To what end, I have no idea. Not sure any of it is in my control.
As you are mentioning all of this - I have one particular person in mind. We have had conflict in the past as I felt that I had been put at a disadvantage by this person. He was moody and dramatic in that there were regular outbursts of temper coming from him while I on the other hand was in a vulnerable position as I was struggling to attain stability where I reside and this person was making it very difficult for me to succeed in that stability. Now there is management of the problem as he has engaged in bringing someone in to help with the situation while I am happy as well and co-operate in making this a harmonious environment; however remain anxious that he could still upset the applecart and overturn my situation into the "unfavourable" - let me say where he could raise the stakes so that I am unable to cope financially speaking. Just to add that while you were doing this reading all of this was going through my mind where I was relating to my landlord..

My bf of almost three years just left yesterday. It was quite toxic toward the end with red flags on both sides. Lots of love but ultimately we know leaving is better for the both of us. It still hurts and part of me hopes for reconciliation but I cannot rush the process. I seem to be the one with the energy of not wanting to let go and take the break.

3 years ago he scared me with his anger. I completely repressed it until I read an old diary.. dealing with it now tho. We broke up almost a year ago and have no contact now. We’re both Aries and I’ve been dismissed. My partner thinks it’s acceptable to put me at the bottom of her priority list and if I ask for some of her time she says I’m being too needy when she’s busy. Partner continues to dismiss my feelings completely and continues to make life decisions on her own without me although we’ve moved past the dating stage and are in a committed relationship. I see red flags over and over but continue to try because I do see the very best of things in her. I have taken a break and deactivated social media for awhile. Trying to get myself back together because I know I’m a good partner and I deserve a real partner. I have had a hard time with zero contact. I worry when she gets overwhelmed by her emotions because she cannot regulate them well so I have checked in. I love her very much and keep trying.
