- This is the fifth in a series of Skier Steve videos describing how to ski moguls. In this video, we'll show you how and why to lean forward. At first this will challenge your intuition. But, leaning downhill is essential for the reasons I describe in this video.
Once you become comfortable with enough lean, you can improve your skills with future mogul skiing tips, skiing technique and ski lessons.

I'm Skier Steve! I want to help you learn to ski. I provide content on ski instruction, how to ski and ski techniques. I want to explain how to ski for beginners, but I also include some intermediate skiing tips too. I hope you find my content useful and entertaining!
This definitely will take practice.
Splayed and rockered.
Just sharing my tips 😊
Thanks for the videos.
Yes, a cabbage patch is just like any other part of the mountain, you just have to take it one turn at a time.
Please share your mogul skiing ideas in the comments.
Thank you for the video. Please ditch the fake accent so I will be able to watch more of your videos.
Where do you live?
I'm in the Park City area.
Do you have access to DV, Snowbird, Solitude? Let's meet up and take your moguls to the next level.@@SkierSteve
Everything in skiing requires that you initiate the new turn by facing your upper body down the hill as you change your weight and balance from your downhill to your uphill ski. From beginner to mogul skier to Olympic racer, everything is the same except the extremes to which you move your body down the hill and into the new turn. Turns are made from your face down, not from your feet up. The very last thing that happens is your feet rolling over.
Great video! I will share this with everyone wanting to learn moguls. I would love to ski with you. I just started doing shorts. @utahmogul I would love to brain storm with you
