    Today on offensive breakdown, I break down NFL schemes that get covered by the likes of QB School and Brett Kollmann. That’s right, the spread offensive breakdown is seen in NFL offenses and are covered by the QB School and Brett Kollmann
    Not NFL Offense, But brett kollmann breaks down NFL game film and offensives. This QB School like offensive breakdown goes deep into the NFL spread concepts and how high school football can use NFL style plays covered by brett kollmann and QB School

      @@CoachMcKie You were thorough and relatable in your breakdown of the film. The route by route analysis and explanation of what the play design did to the defense shows if run correctly the offense cannot be wrong and will always have a shot at success. I could watch these all day.

    Three plays in one. Bubble screen, QB draw, or the Slant. The Defense took away the draw and option 1 or 3 was available. Option 1 should happen right away. LSU had the numbers and Clyde Edwards could have made a nice gain. But Joe went with Option 3 when the safety recognized draw. Chase had a nice run after catch. Great play by Passing Coordinator Joe Brady.

    good job..break down the Clemson and LSU...(Particular attention to why LSU changed up its use of CLyde Ewards-Hellier in the formations) that was interesting to me because Clemson dint get the respond they wanted from LSU and ambushed their Defense. thanks

    I have a "switch" and a "swap" call. Switch tells the two inside routes to change assignments. The play you are showing here would be Sail Switch for me. Swap tells the two outside routes to change assignments. For example 6 swap would have Z and Y exchanging landmarks of their Verticals. This has become an easy way to get multiple variations of the same concept(s)

    • @CoachMcKie

      @CoachMcKie  Před 4 lety +1

      Great minds think alike. They’ve ran that route more than once during the season.

    • @Mattyoftheboy
      @Mattyoftheboy Před 4 lety

      There was another I play I thought was so simple yet worked so well, and I noticed it a lot against Alabama the same game. Just a normal 11 personel, but the TE would always chip block the edge rusher and run a drag route. X and Y receivers would just run normal verts down the sidelines, and Z receiver would run a deep post down the middle of the field. They literally ran that same play twice in a row I believe on their opening drive

    I get annoyed when my teams make reads from long to short. I am of the belief that the defense automatically covers the deep routes atleast initially and that the quicker you get the ball out the better ie less sacks. So many times I see the flats left wide while my QB is looking deep and either forces a contested pass or takes a sack. Makes me fume. Can you explain why teams do this? Seems like you take what the offense gives you. It wont be sexy, but it will be safe and keep the chains moving. Then when you force them to start covering short, thats when you hit them deep.

    • @CoachMcKie
      @CoachMcKie  Před 3 lety

      I agree. I think the reason is most teams won't attack short FIRST then start attacking down the field after that. If you watch Leach teams play, they throw a lot of quick game and screens in the first half before attacking down the field. Also, Leach trains his QBs to never pass up an open back.
