Still watching the video, just wanted to add my brief experience: the companion character versions are also great for children who might be able to handle the grim dark setting, but might also struggle with those highly strategic card battle flow system. My 10yo daughter really enjoyed using that version as she required no help to play at that point :)
Thanks for the great 1st video. I think this will be one of the few kickstarters I back this year. Looks and sounds amazing and I do love story driven games. The gameplay looks very unique and innovative as well so far.
It's missed a lot of people's radar I think. I haven't heard about it before the preview KS link either. Not sure where that "most hyped" is coming from. Middara had way more hype this year even though it is a 2nd printing.
This game looks FANTASTIC! Are the miniatures as big as they look in the video? These look WAY larger that 120mm... or are you a hobbit? Looking forward to playing this!

You’d be surprised by what one person says hyped “everywhere” means... I mean, It’s not like I’m seeing billboards for boardgames yet ;)

I can tell you the game is terrible if you like? :) It isn't, but I can still tell you just in case it helps.
