Nice fish, well done. I spent hundreds of hours over East chasing one like that to no avail. Did hook some but they got away. Same with big kingfish, just couldn’t stop em. I’m over West now so need to get back into it. Still have some of my gear so a good start.

Hey Salty , what a beautiful fish !! I have collected the jewels in the past , I think that is why on the east coast they call Mulloway “ jewel fish / Jewfish “ ? I tend to head when the wind is between 12-18 knots and fish into tide chand from low to high, having a tough time producing, any pointers ? cheers

I've got a gossa 10 I'm setting up for beach fishing and love your setup.
G'day brother I'm using Shimano Grappler 89lb braid but the diameter of 50lb was sceptical using it but have had no problem at all with it breaking or casting, used it at Steep Point, coral bay off the boats, landbase beaches soaking baits and no problems at all💯 good thing is you can fully lock your drag on the 10k and know the braid ain't gonna snap done that plenty times turning fishes head...
