Brilliant tutorial, thank you . You mentioned that only the right bank of eight faders can be used with ProTools. Is it possible to use more channels, or is this a limitation of the X32? I’m new to this so my apologies if this is a dumb question.
yes, unfortunately, it is only this bank of faders. However, if you haven't bought the desk consider the Wing it allows the use of all the faders - assuming you want to spend that sort of money
I've been trying to get this to work for a while. When I go into Protools 11, choose MIDI controllers, and set them to HUI... the only thing I've getting from my computer is "Receive from - X32 Midi (Emulated)" Not X-UF. I'm getting audio from the board ok. But I have never been able to get the DAW controller to work at all... ever. meh. Now on the back of my X32, I have a USB connection. But I also have a USB connection in the REMOTE section. Both of these are connected to the computer, but I still can't seem to connect to the DAW controller. What physical connection are you using between the X32 and the Computer?
Hi, I believe you can but I haven't tried it. There is something similar to your question in the XDante quickstart guide. Skip to page 11 :) I found it here: www.fullcompass.com/common/files/42061-XDANTEQuickStartGuide.pdf
Amazing, bro! Thank you so much, very easy to follow. Now to fine tune my routing for studio recording atmosphere!

If they are both plugged in the computer will be confused. Remove the one from the remote port and try again.
can I use the DAW REMOTE on the XDante card or I must have the usb expansion card in the mixer ? thx

I have an older X32 with no "DAW REMOTE" button. I set everything else the same in the setup>remote menu, but still no luck. Any other suggestions?
Nevermind, I found it! On older consoles its on the left above the channel layer buttons
@@BarryBlairGuitarist glad I could help!! Haha
Will this work with other DAWs like Cubase?
Yes. However the software settings is something I can’t help you with.
en forma remota puedo controlar los fader que yo quiera en protools o solo se limita a 32 faders?
No, tantos faders como desee en los protocolos, sin embargo, está limitado a 8 faders físicos en el x32.
