So I wrote/recorded this video before they announced that they were planning dlc's
I sure hope somebody picked up that phone.
I can't wait to see what the dlc is...I don't wanna sound selfish but I hope it isn't like a boss rush mode or something jus by itself...I hope dey expand it out or maybe you play as a different character prior to the events or even during or hell even after the fact

The mechanics and puzzle blew my mind. Sheer inteligence in design.
This really is one of the best modern metroidvanias. Platforming is great. Combat is the deepest of any meroidvania ive played. Progression is well paced and on theme. Puzzling feels true to the franchise also. Its a well polished and well designed metroidvania that manages to maintain the feel of a prince of persia game. The loadout variations seem extensive and probably gives plenty of viable variations for combat playstyles.
i fucking LOVE this game
this game slaps so hard. They seemed pulled from a lot of modern metroidvanias like Hollow Knight, Blasphemous and the like and they fucking nailed it. The combat is fun af, the world is fun to explore and the story was actually good in my opinion. Nothing groundbreaking but damn good, which is what I was looking for. Who would have thought Ubisoft could make good games again!
you mentioned that its not explained why sargon was swapped its explained in some other lore that she had multiple children who died from suspicious circumstances (they were assassinated by varham not him directly but he orchestrated it) so she had the baby swapped to keep sargon safe and raised ghassan as decoy to be killed.

Soundtrack, combat, puzzles, world design, enemy variety, graphics, exploring, engagement, movement, map, story...all done so masterfully... This game is a treasure, simply the best metroidvania I ever played. I only have one orange door time puzzle left, then I hit the 100%, which almost never happens with me.
It's a weirdly bittersweet feeling, ain't it?

This game is a banger! At least a 9/10 in my book, probably better than that. I played on switch, had zero bugs and loved every second!

I don't personally care so much about the whole steam/egs thing, but I can understand why people are turned off about it. A real shame, I think you'd enjoy it!

The game is good. I give it a 9/10 for metroidvania game, and I've been playing a lot of those lately.
It's like a cross between the harder metroidvania-souls games and easier ones. Harder ones being like: Hollow knight with counter system and strategic fighting and easier ones that is more chaotic hack and slash like Symphony of the night where you can easily beat the bosses neglecting their patterns if youre strong enough. On this note if you're consider the level of difficulty and you want a more Hollow knight difficulty then just max diff it.
The game seem to try and maximize on all of these qualities. It has enjoyable+doable platforming and some decent strategic boss fights. But also it has very easy map transversing, save points are plenty and well placed near any boss fight - also if you die you can respawn right away and try again (unlike hollow knight and some others which makes you lose all your currency and have to find your death spot to collect them again which was annoying as shit because they're 10x harder). Rarely will you be confused (although it is optional to turn on/off map assisting but who the fuck wants that haha).
The game also does story telling better than these harder metroid-souls games and has "voice acting" and tries at character development - which is noticible through character appearance like Sands of times did. Likely because this is a "Prince of Persia" Ubisoft.
I enjoyed the challenge of this game and figuring out and mastering the boss fights, although yes they are easier than hollow knight (but maybe hollow knight made me better at these types of games? - at least i feel like i dont rage at all anymore when i Die, i just repeat and get tunnel vision on mastering the patterns). But later when you get stronger and get later skills or upgrades, I found even though the bosses got more chaotic I started relying on spamming attacks to build "magic" Meter, hit specials and easily kill the boss quick in their typical 3 phases - no more having to "learn" or master the boss patterns much anymore; thus this cheapen the combat experience. Also to add: because of PoP abilities and fluidness its general combat with regular enemies is a lot more fun.
Another HK and PoP comparison is the combination of charms/amulets. HK was the first game I played that implemented this system, it makes the game a very unique experience for every individual. PoP tries something similar and it's not bad, but definitely not has intricate as HK.

The Lost Crown got ignored because its not what the people want, we want a SOT trilogy remake. But I will say this game looks really good, i just haven't had the chance to play it.
This is not how the game industry fucking works. It is not some restaurant where you order food and you get it, it's like a Toy's workshop where someone makes a toy and thinks, if they like it, others would like it too. No one demands anything, the ones who make the stuff decide what they want and have to do.
