As a young man who is an African decent . I was never raised to blame the society , I was raced with the notion of go and get what you want no matter what the situation is...I think as Blacks in America, we need to look in the mirror and re educate ourselves and take ourselves more serious before anyone else can take us serious....WE HAVE TO CHANGE OUR OWN COMMUNITIES FIRST AND EVERYONE ELSE WILL TAKE US SERIOUS...ITS A SIMPLE ...WE ALSO NEED TO STOP BLAMING THE SOCIETY AT THIS POINT..WE NEED TO STRONGLY MOVE FORWARD ON OUR OWN AND WE WILL BE SURPRISED HOW WE THINGS WILL TURN AROUND....Thank you
i truly agree with Micheal Fauntroy....Alot of things that was said on the panel is true but we can start from micheal view

For the most part, government can't solve people's problems. Only individuals can solve their own problems.

@rgrove319 I don't see the personal issue. I think we have to hold every president equally accountable. We should expect as much of any president as it takes to get the job of justice and well being completely done.

YOU JUST CAN'T TELL PEOPLE TO STEP IT UP YOU HAVE TO BRING CONCRETE SOLUTIONS WHICH THE FIRST THING IS EDUCATION ON FUNDAMENTAL LEVEL AND MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR THOSE WHO CAN RISE TO THE OCCASION A ESOTERIC LEVEL BECAUSE IT IS SOME MUCH MORE THAN YOU CAN SEE !!!!

I think that the reason that Tavis is harder on Obama because he is Black. I can understand where he is coming from on some level. To be a Black man, Barack Obama is definitely not looking out for the interest of the Black people. Not only is he not tackling the issues facing Blacks, but he seems to be looking out only for the most affluent of Americans, leaving the majority of the country to fend for themselves.
