Solo levelling is the type of story you binge-watch/read. The cliffhangers are going to be hard, stay strong guys! So far I am very happy with the adaptation as a Manhwa reader.
I re-read the manhwa for countless of times for the past 3 years and it's still doesn't make me bored. At this point, I think people would just going to read the manhwa if they left with cliffhangers in the upcoming episodes.

Why everyone hyping up so much when some manhwa are adapted to anime? For me and now, it just seems similar to other anime with same genre. It's nothing crazy, for now. People will know its good after the end of the series. People expect it so much that end up disappointed.
@@jojo2767 Tbh I stopped reading manga for a long time already, they're too cliche and boring for me ( too much reused plot ) ..in my opinion Manhwa is way way more entertaining, the plot and also in full colour so it's a plus for me.
@@Nisaaaaaaa23 chill. I nvr compare manga and manhwa. They got their own flaw. My point is it is not necessary to hype up the show. Some anime got the recognition it deserved before it was overhype.
Looks like they're adapting some stuff from the novel which I'm super stoked about and this episode covered chapter 1 and 2 of the Manhwa which means they're not rushing the story and are taking their time with it so I'm hyped as this means it won't end up like GOH. Great first episode

@P21345 First of all, the artist was dying, so they couldn't add the things they wanted to add second these new scenes are for the novel so most likely we will be getting alot more novel and anime content to help the worldbuilding

Honestly A1 did a brilliant job adapting, the art style is very close replicated and the pacing seems to be extremely promising as they are adapting the light novel(which is more detailed hence the "new" scenes in the ep).Now i might be mistaken in my comment as im not an expert and i didn't read the light novel only the manhwa
And it seems that a lot of people forget how slow the beginning of sl is. I saw a lot of comments that wanted the ep to end with the smile but that appear later than most remember

Yeah the animation was quite good but the character introductions were lame as hell. In the manhwua S ranks were hyped up all the time to keep the tension.
As far as i remember there was only 8 or 9 S ranks in korea and we saw half of them in the first scenes.
There was literally no reason to show the previous jeju island raid at the very first episode.
I went in as an anime only too and really liked the episode. Never really doubted A-1 pictures and they made a promising start for sure. It has me hooked now. And Sawano is so back with his goated music again!!
manwha has better art tho sadly like wayyyy beter but a-1 suprised me a lot. i loved the animation and sound design but yeah art and coloring are wayyy better in the manwha
@@humanoidfrog4645its almost impossible to a anime art macht the manga or manwa bruh the pages arent moving. A-1 is known for having good animations at the end of the day lot of workers on A-1 already worked on ufotable but sadly they are also known for making some rushed story and bad adaptation só all we can do is wacht and see how it goes on from here.

@humanoidfrog4645 I honestly think they did what they could with what they had. Coloring and art are easier to keep consistent in anime since as I'm sure you understand, it is not 1 single image they need tu draw but hundreds and thousands for each episode. I'm not saying that it is impossible, I'm just saying that it is very time and resource consuming and it is just not worth all the effort when you can have something like this without getting a headache each time you need to re-draw 12 frames because you messed up a character's bruise on their right hand. I think this is the most accurate the art of the mawha can be in an anime without taking forever to complete a single episode.

Hunters are born with the rank they have. They cannot change it which they mentioned at the very beginning, unlike Sung Jinwoo which you will see no spoilers.

They're not born with it, they awaken it or don't.
I think you missed a little part. People had powers awaken in them at the same time the gates opened and those powers cannot be increased or decreased no matter how hard you train.
Now the real question for the Manhwa readers is: Would you be mad if they change the ending chapters to not look so rushed and add things from the novel? I would absolutely love it

@vraku9624 The first episode starts with the 3rd failure on Jeju island's raid, which only the LN starts with, so I would assume they're adapting the novel
@@vraku9624 I think it's speculation but it's grounded in a lot of proof. We didn't meet Cha so early in, also the failed raid wasn't shown. Also if you watch the OP, there are things that I don't remember in the manhwa, the golem shown in the OP is I think the same one he one shots after finishing the station instant dungeon but like i mentioned before, manhwa has him one shot-ing it from a distance which leads me to believe there was more to the fight in the LN
@@muhammadrizwan7786 gotcha. I wouldn't mind about it honestly. As we get more detailed stuff in the LN then Manhwa. But what i'm scared of is them rushing it(altho it doesn't seem that way as of rn). They will not fit the series in 24 chapters if they follow the novel (idf they can if they follow the manhwa either but its closer). So mby at least 2 seasons hopefully?
So far, I'm really happy with how they are pacing the episode. With how they introduce the Jeju Island fight and other side/supporting characters that we wouldn't have seen till later on. I really hope this does well, it would mean a whole new era for manwha to anime adaptations.
yeah solo leveling is great but its to much center on sung jin wo, side character is underated
I'm so fucking glad they kept it set in korea, I have no idea if this was already confirmed or not tbh because I haven't kept up with it since everyone was saying it was being changed to japan, but I'm glad they're keeping it true to the manhwa. also REALLY happy that they're doing a great job of emulating the look and feel of the manhwa's art so far as well
i really hope they actually complete solo leveling as a anime no matter how long it takes ill wait for peak 🙏

Trust me, this first espisode didn't even scratch the surface of what is coming in this show
ARISE. Take it from me, it will be as hype as "ryoikki tenkai" or maybe even "BANKAI"
I've only read the first solo leveling book, but they absolutely NAILED the first episode imo. The atmosphere was great on the whole scene when they entered the big room. Can't wait to see what A-1 did with this story
The only thing that could of made the episode better is to have the smile at the end.

basically, I'm back on this bullshit because Semblance of Sanity is reacting to Golden Kamuy right now, and they're having a total blast with it, and it's making me remember just how much I love this show all over again. it's so good.
but also, there is literally stuff in this anime that no other series can claim to have done. the only reason why I'm not making a list right now is because I'd hate to spoil any of it, and you'd never believe me if I told you half this shit. the fourth OVA is basically lost media because it went too far... I'm surprised they even adapted that, like, it's insane that that got animated at all. so OVA 4 has basically been stricken from the record, you can't find it on official streaming platforms. it is possible to track it down, I have watched it, and I completely understand why it wasn't widely distributed. but man... how many other anime have _that_ distinction? and that's no fluke... the show is just like that.
not only is it strange as hell, but the story is actually really good. the stuff it does for flavor is backed up by actually really good writing. it's the whole package.
I only read the manwha, but the extra content and different approach to the introduction, if I remember correctly, seems very good.
For me it is outstanding what job Hiroyuki Sawano did with the OST again. You instantly recognize his style in this series.

So far the animation is good, the attention to detail is good, the music is on point, i really like how they made it when the MC is talking in his head, so far the first episode is like a 9/10, is not rushed( for people who said about the smile, read the manhwa again and you will see the smile is on later chapter, or do you preferred to be rushed just for one scene)
So far so good, we shall see what happens in the future with this adaptation.
I really wish they will adapt the whole manhwa into one season but that will be impossible because i think this will have 23 episodes.
And why i give it 9/10 instead of 10/10 is because the voices where a little bit off in some scenes, and because it was better to give us the 2 episodes that they release it a few weeks back at that convention.
For those who are woundering, think hunters are like athletes, every guild(club in our case) wants the best hunter(athlete), that's why they are signing contracts in that scene
they re pacing it with around of 4 chapters per ep, so 25 eps are impossible, but 2 seasons of 23-25 eps might be it

@@DarkNeSsZed nop, first cour is 12 episodes, what u saw is the bluray for the 1st cour, i mean it literally comes 2 weeks after cour 1, meaning they most likely already finished animating cour 1, since there s a bluray so soon

Another amazing show came out today with its first episode, It's called "A Sign of Affection" a deaf romance anime. I highly recommend it to anyone here who wants something to watch alongside solo leveling!!!

The original Korean novel is an anti-Japanese novel, and the Japanese anime version was created with that part deleted.

i really hope they add more growth and depth to the story, some other stuff other than just leveling up. As good as the manhwa was, I just think that Jin-Woo got too strong too fast, making it kinda boring afterwards, so if they can add more to the story, this would be top-tier for me.
they added more of the island scenes so maybe they can fix the mid story. because the art carried the webtoon

But I've read the first season of the manhwa, and maybe it's because of that, that it didn't hit me the way I thought it would? I don't know. I had no expectations going into this, animation wise it's okay, but it's unfortunate that I didn't feel impressed. But it's just the first episode anyway.

its kinda the same for the manhwa. The first few chapters are slow, but its less noticeable because reading is faster than watching. It's also building up the world.
I'd recommend checking the manhwa because the art is phenomenal. It personally made me fall in love with solo leveling. If they can't deliver with the animation, then it won't be worth the hype because the art is the main attraction of this story

I have doubts about wind breaker even though its one of my favorites. Eleceed would be GOATED, apart from that ORV, HCLW, TBATE, Gosu, The breaker, these are prime to be adapted.

I read the manhwa this is adapting, and i'm excited to see where it goes. I'm anxiously awaiting the part where the God Statue has a really sick-ass wicked grin on it's face, but i forget if that's, like, the next episode or much later. At one point i was caught up with the weekly or so releases, but i fell off of it after i heard there was an anime.
If manhwa adaptation anime kick off, i'm hoping for one for Overgeared. i saw it at a book store and it looked pretty interesting, and around 120 chapters in, it sure was interesting
The statue was already staring at him the first time he watched behind in fear to see if the statue was looking, I think it would have been better, but they decided to do it differently it seems
