Garbage Truck - GoPro *Hopper Shot* Labrie Expert 2000 Crushing Bulky Items!

- Well this was bulky item week in Fairview, and for some reason I was assigned the garbage route that week. Basically in our contract with the city, once a year we have to provide a bulky item week, essentially saying the residents can put literally whatever they want out and we have to take it. Now our routes aren't huge by any means, I know a lot of you guys pull in over 20 tons some days, but keep in mind most of our stops are 35 gallon cans. I usually pull in 6-7 tons a day for garbage, but after this week I was averaging around 10-13 tons. For the first time ever as well, I packed this sucker out! The blade was moving literally 3 inches. Unfortunately I could not find any couches to crush on camera, however I still hope you all enjoy this video!

always when loading glass doors put the glass end in first no clean-up.
This guy is one of(if not the fastest)trash man I've seen in a long time.Has a good ,strong arm.

Awesome video! Interesting that they chose this truck for bulk, but I suppose it makes sense if there wasn't too much and you can collect resi at the same time. Love your 2000 hopper footage videos, great work Isaac!

Hi !! Didn't think I'd ever see this again, an msl and taking tires no less!!!! There were two guys in recent years back that posted vids such as this every week, they're no longer around, I think more folks appreciate this type of vid, lots more variety to be had and to start them from about half full is nice. Great job!!!!!

@@northwestgarbagetrucks Glad that you took the assignment on a positive note!! When you were puttin that door in the hopper, I was yellin' at the screen, "No, you put it in the wrong way" lol!! then the glass was all over the street, one of thoase guys I mentioned to in the comment, put a hot water heater in his truck, two folds and that tank was history!! That's why I like these trucks, but unfortunately, they will all be taken out of service eventually. If you can, see if you can get that truck again and do trash, recycle is kind of blah, with the trash, because you never know what will fly out of those cans!!! Again, thanks for the vid, nice work!!!!
@@mikeyfromnj yeah man for sure. And yeah that door was not one of my proudest moments haha! But that’s ok, and I have actually moved on to another company, but there are plenty of cool trucks to get video of there!

Yeah it definitely was that’s for sure. The only thing we weren’t taking was anything that could still have any flammable objects with them (grills included) and mattresses. We sent a pickup for those.

Do you have to grease any part of the truck . Where I work they make the driver grease the whole truck . The only thing the mechanics grease is the drive shaft.

Wow, surprises me they do bulk on an msl, doesn't seem like there is enough hopper space to crush such large items, but you make it work! Keep it up!

Amazing work to get all that crap in there considering a drop frame sideloader usually isn't the best choice for bulk. Surprised you take tires, in my area those are banned at the landfill.

Seen videos where some or many trash dig for worthy stuff and resell if can or keep if want for any reason, and a gal who was doing even found money stashed in a container tossed out so they put the funds to good use later. that why if u can do so try save to resell or donate any. but guessing alot that can still be used is tossed out for any reason. i even had stuff useable but was tossed cause others had covid and was a safety factor at time.
