Goutsou the most underrated of all Soviet and Ex-Soviet gymnasts. Goutsou was a great gymnast amazing gymnastics nobody even, today dares to do her balance beam mount. Khorkina the most overrated and IMO the most undeserving. No wow factor to her work. She had nice choreography to watch on floor and her beam was beautifully elegant but that's about all. Elena Shushunova should have taken silver to Daniela Silivas whose gymnastics still looks amazing today. Daniela deserved to be Olympic champion IMO. Her gymnastic even today, is still some of the greatest my eyes ever saw. The judges were in love with Shushunova's power I suppose she was powerful for her time. But not today. Unique skills should count for something.
