    Hey TT - you got to 2k Subscribers! Awesome! Love your videos as always but this video was a little frustrating. First of all - 6 commercials interrupted your vid; plus the sunlight and out of focus on the screen was a pain. The selection you choose on K Tuner had something to do with 91 octane, but don't you use 93 octane? And I missed the part why you chose V1 over V2? I'll be interested in your mpg after this mod as well. Since you bought the Si, how much of your driving is in "Sport" mode? Oh, and I guessed a box of chocolates for this video and a blender in your PRL Cobra Intake vid. (You asked us to guess)! I still think that red strut bar would make an amazing curtain rod.

    • @TTorres1183
      @TTorres1183  Před 6 lety +1

      The base maps that come preloaded are for 91 Octane or better... once I get a custom tune then I will be tuned for 93 Octane. I got the v1 over the v2 cause i don’t like the big screen and we’re it’s suggested to be placed. To be honest I rarely drive in sports mods. I’m sure i will once All engine mods are finished. Lol quit making fun of my curtain rod!!

    • @jimmydaves
      @jimmydaves Před 6 lety +2

      Hey TT. Glad you recognized my playful side! I am in awe of your modifications and appreciate you sharing those with us lucky subscribers! As of this latest mod - can you estimate the horsepower your Si engine is getting? Are you concerned that these mods will affect your mpg? And lastly (big one). Say Honda does a major refresh for its 2019 Si - What would Honda half to do to the Si that would tempt you to trade in your 2017 "modded" Si?

    • @TTorres1183
      @TTorres1183  Před 6 lety +1

      I honestly don’t even know how much hp I have now... dyno video in the near future. I am not worried about my MPG at all. I am right at 37+MPG and I am perfectly fine with that :D. I don’t see them doing a huge refresh but we shall see...

    Good day sir, just a question. I have V1.2 flashed my car on starter dual target 21psi. I tried to reflashed it back to factory to try different basemap but the thing is it didn’t allow me to changed some settings on the advanced features unlike the previous one that allows me yo set up turbo boost, throttle, responsiveness etc. after choosing diff basemap because the page was blank I mean nothing in there even after clicking the + button beside the advanced features. What seems to be the problem bro? I ended up uploading the tune straight away even without changing anything.

      TTorres1183 I agree. As long as you flash back to stock before service you will be good. If they did dig deep and say it looks like your ecu has been tuned tell them you disconnected your battery (make up a reason) from what I've been hearing, some cars have an ecu counter. So my understanding is that disconnecting battery also does a count on ecu. Lol hope I'm making sense

    I followed this video after installing the prl cobra intake and kept getting error code when driving around that its running lean. what i failed to do is pick the base map then go and select “MAF Scaling” under the “Main Parameters” drop-down
    menu on the right hand side. Select “PRL RACE MAF Calibration” from
    the drop-down options under “MAF Quick Calibration.”
    Save the file and upload the current calibration to the ECU.
    You can find those instruction in the prl motorsport website. wish i had payed attention to that before driving around for 2 hours after a reflash thinking it was just not flashed the first time.

      I am waiting for a call back from K Tuner with help with the install. I honestly have had nothing but problems doing it for last 6 weeks. First computer did not have enough power. Then 2nd computer install found out a new ECU number has been discovered. K Tuner had to build a new Beta for the installation. After that my 2nd computer did not have enough power. For the first run 1.35 GHZ was enough, but now I needed 1.8 GHZ to upload to the car. 3rd computer has 1.8 GHZ but was still getting an error in the upload. So a friend tried 4th computer with 2.8GHZ. It still errors during the upload process of the bass maps. But I will update once KTUner returns my call with diagnosis.

The engine was not tuned to its full potential ryt from the factory by the engineers, thus the starter pack is perfect for utilizing the power.
