This brings back memories our our Igneous geology assignment as an undergraduate. We didnt have access to this film at the time and neither should we.
We read all the scientific papers to try and unravel the geology of the area.
But a massive bolide did create the structure that is clearly evident. The geological map is excellent at reading and unravelling story.

You should listen to the video about the sudbury impact first.

I still think Hudson's Bay was formed by a meteor strike. I wonder what minerals are at the bottom of it?

I wish I knew the language. I find this fascinating, and understand its significance ... buhhhht, I'm not understanding much of it.
The human mind, a marvel how it can do both ... get it and not get it simultaneously.

Ten comments only three shown….. excluding two from me which puts it at 12?
I am interested in this. I found this by looking at the Carolina bays. Made from large chunks of glacier debris from an impact in Michigan while it was covered with glaciers.

Hi C. Mark Davis - you've found one of the most frequently viewed videos on our Channel! Thank you for your engagement.
We don't monitor CZcams comments as a high priority, especially as we're heading into final exams over here. Sometimes we receive irrelevant comments from random vendors (which we delete). Not sure if your comment about comments was seeking an answer - please don't take it personally if we aren't tending to the comments very quickly.

Yes..mostly concentrated in north and South Carolina, but stretches from New York to Georgia ..huge elliptical craters all oriented north west to Michigan . Best viewed on LIDAR. Strips away vegetation, exposes underlying features..thousands of craters..also found in Nebraska rainwater basins..again oriented toward Michigan

Mike Charette that's not true, the craters are about 200 million years apart, and they are distinctly erosionally different

Sudbury impact was 1.8 billion years ago. The lake's impact was much more recent.
