Now im a Genosguy, but i must say, i really dont see or hear the difference between this very goodlooking keyboard and the last Korg.
And also, WHY playing big band and old woodwind songs in the demo? I perform like 50 gigs a year on a regular basis all year around and i never use organs, woodwind or any of the REALLY REALLY old stuff! I mean, please show modern stuff.
I mean…if i play swing and jazz att a club…..people kill me
Roland can come close to Geno's but Geno's needs some things like cakewalk in it so we don't need a computer and update voices once in a while etc and loop button
This Yamaha vs Korg arranger war is getting out of control! I bought the Tyros 5 and was going to lease one of my vital organs to buy a Pa4X then comes the Genos to steal my heart... now the Pa5x 😭😭😭😭😭 I submit; no more keyboard aspirations. I'll just watch the videos "ooh & ah" at all of the tech i can't afford & like never have use for. Both companies need to just release these as software already.

Thanks for another cool video concerning Pa5X. Is there a way to stop the accompaniment while playing a style? On Genos I could press three or more keys in the distance of a halftone (e.g. Bb, B, C). On Genos this feature is called chord cancel.
terrible audio recording...why use camera audio and not directly from the keyboard?
Hi team e-pianos, will you guide me to find out where is the arpeggio function in pa5x ? Pls note, I not talking about the pads here.
Just got a PA5X...and impressed I must say.
But...an issue already it seems. Although it is listed, it will not assign either footswitch port to "Variation up/down". It will assign an individual variant 1-2 but it will not activate either moving up or down. Anyone else experiencing this...is it a software glitch..ne addressed with an update????.

I am deciding between the Yamaha Genos, Ketron Event and Korg PA-5X.
Could I change registrations using a pedal with the PA-5X and if yes, which pedal would I need? Thank you.
Hello, I am desperately trying to find out which instrument I should choose. I need an arranger keyboard that plays styles to make seniors dance : Waltz, tango, cha-cha, salsa, madison, scottish, bachata, disco 70's + 80's, twist, rock'n'roll 50's ...
- I do NOT play modern music (Rap, house, techno, etc.)
- I don't need a pad, a muffled trumpet, articulated sounds, etc, etc, etc.
- Synth sounds are useless for what I do.
- I just need an arranger keyboard that offers the BEST PLAYED styles and invites seniors to DANCE.
I hesitate between Pa5X, Genos or Ketron.
What do you offer me please?
Buy those previous model 4x, 3x or 2x, or yamaha psr900 or even the *famous Technics KN7000* that still beat all of them in term of sounds and feeling that many keyboard manufacturers still sought for.
*FYI:* The reason why KN7000 still the best because the sounds that they produced and sampled were played by the best professional musicians.
If Korg, Yamaha and Roland follow the same recording techniques, they definitely can change their keyboard into the beast. But to pay great musician to do the sample pretty expensive.
@@WeDoLoveU I had a roland G800 and now have a tyros 4 that I want to replace.
The sounds of the Roland G800 are less good than the sounds of the Tyros but believe me, we'll come and dance faster to a rock'n'roll played by a G800 than on a Tyros. Even though the sounds are better, the style is less PLAYED. It's not the quality of the sounds that makes a style play better.
@@lambertkonings3371 I never herd G800 live. But I used to hear alot Roland G70 and it sounds great hands down. Probably the big brother of G800.
Roland has better edge in term of the way they sampled the sounds compare to Yamaha that has lots of FX to make beauty.
Yamaha Tyros is bit softer/flat than Genos. Good thing they improve it.
@@WeDoLoveU You are talking about the quality of the sounds and I am talking about the quality of the GAME of the styles. A chuck berry rock'n'roll played on a Genos style sucks, even if the sounds are good.
@@lambertkonings3371 Then go for Roland G70 if there's no Technics KN7000 available.
These 2 beast still my go to favorites of all time.
Although Roland G70 has modern taste, I still prefer KN7000 for general music sounds and mix it with 88 keyboard hook up to Pianoteq as my Piano - - all because the Piano in KN7000 is not that good.
intro 2, why not just use the main?
Because the main doesn’t allow you to change the chords to create your own intro. Intro 1 is a fixed progression depending on the key of your song.

Hey Korg Akai MPC 61 key has enetered the market n raised d bar ....Isn't it time for Korg to upgrade d Pa series to be able to do more professional studio grade work by incorporating a fully functional editable high quality audio recording section instead of mp3? Kronos has 16track audio which can be added to d Pa5x or Pa6x.
If u scared adding fully functional audio cost may increase d cost of d workstation ...you can revive one of Korg previous audio workstation (Korg D 8 or 16, D 24 etc) exclusive audio mixer workstation with special sync functionality to be sold separately. Those who prefer could buy separately. That if Korg wants to b on top of this competition.

yes and it is all very lovely - but why are you still shipping with styles sounding so awful??? I love my PA4X but stylewise Yamaha blows Korg off the screen!!

I had the genos then returned it. I liked my tyros5. better.........yamaha tried reinventing the wheel and, failed! this wobbly keyboard needs a special stand from yamaha, the vocal processing unit was not even close to the tyros.......the only bad thing I can say about the tyros is it is too deep and wide...the pa4x was very nice size. the genos should have used the same layout as the tyros just with upgraded sounds..........why does one have to spend thousands of dollars every time these arrangers come out....my nord keyboards update for FREE, for LIFE!
Give KN7000 any day
Pa4x is close to Geno's not pa5x sound like cheap keyboard
@@frankr7239 If you're basing your opinion off this demo in particular, then it's a pretty unfair assessment. For one the quality of this demo is not that good, and secondly, there are some syncing issues in this demo. A much better demo would be when Adam is with Luke Edwards. And also, considering that some or most of the sounds of the Pa5x are based off of the Kronos/Nautilus flagship workstations, are you still willing to say that? With the pa5x being a 'cheap keyboard' that is?
@@jordanking7711 no talking about the styles and voices and there sounds that comes out of korg and what they sound like I reckon the pa4x is a way better keyboard then a pa5x
