In a time of great trials and tribulations, injustices, misguidance, false ideologies and alluring temptations, the topic of enjoining what is right and prohibiting what is wrong has become a crucial topic. However, the Muslim community must learn the wisdom and approach in doing so, applying the Quranic verse ‘invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and goodly advice’ (16:125).
This topic is sensitive, requiring attention and care in implementing, otherwise may result in the opposite effect, causing greater wrong and even turning others away from the right path. In this lecture, we address the 10 rules and guidelines and the 10 etiquettes and approaches to this noble instruction of Allah where He said, ‘You are now the best people brought forth for (the guidance and reform of) mankind.You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah…’ (3:110)
