You need a hell of a lot more PR in english to make it outside of french speaking countries... and gigs. It's not easy. There are many people with nice voices and there will always be someone who is better. You can only do your own thing as well as possible and hope that it pays off.

This is a side of Loic Nottet we need to see more of! There were parts that put me in mind of the "Thriller" video, and some that had a "Nightmare Before Christmas" feel to them. This almost feels like it could be a Halloween version of "The Nutcracker". Definitely want to see more work like this from Loic!!!!
Everything about this is just brilliant! The music, the songs, the choreography (particularly 12:06-12:33 paired with the music), the cinematography, the storytelling, the make-up and costumes, and of course, the talent. This is a freaking masterpiece!
Disney, Alice in wonderland, Hansel and Gretel, Thriller (Michael Jackson inspired), nightmare before christmas, Broadway VIBES I´m getting here and so much more! All these great vibes paired with Loïc Nottet´s talent... This right here is just a creation of a MASTEPIECE!

Ik wil ook een warme oproep doen aan de Vlaamse fans hier. Loïc verdient veel meer aandacht in Vlaanderen! Op deze manier gaan we nooit een concert van hem in Vlaanderen hebben. De meeste mensen kennen hem hier nog niet (uitgezonderd diegenen die hem volgen sinds het songfestival zoals ik...lol). Hij verdient echt veel beter, hij is de meest getalenteerde Belgische artiest (zingen, dansen, acteren...hij kan het allemaal als de beste).

Here's my interpretation for this video:
I think that the clown has two personalities, a "good" and a "bad" one. At the beginning we can see the good side, he talks to himself and laughs and cries and doesn't really know what to feel when the bad voice inside his head tells him that "the witch" deserves to die, that is when the bad personality takes control over his body.
Another reason why I think this is a line in the last song, candy, (talking to the (dead) doctor:) "I'm sorry you didn't follow through so the evil clown in me killed you, too". That is the "good" him talking but right after, the "evil" him takes control, until the bridge where the good one is back, he tries to stop his evil side, himself, because "he's gonna kill us both". But again, the bad side takes control and doesn't listen, they kill the witch and with that, he kills himself. Because I think that the witch is in fact his good side.
His evil side told him to kill the witch while the good one tried to stop him, I think his good side is the witch because we know that she always gave him candies and was always nice and yet, she had to die. But why if she's actually nice???
Because the bad side, of course, wants the good part to be gone but it's not possible to separate the good from the bad side of a person, its still just one person, so with killing the witch, he killed himself because he was the witch.
That also explains the second song, witch possession, which is basically just the clown freaking out, being all confused and desperate even. His good side, the witch, tries to take control and the evil side fights against it, and that is what we can see in this scene and hear in the song: he fights himself.
ALSO: In the very first song, candy maker, he IS the witch, we can see it, he wears a mask (more like make up) and the name of the song itself, candy maker, with the lyrics "I'm the candy maker, the ginger house creator" - Isn't that exactly what the witch is?
I agree with everything in this perfectly explained theory, but the witch part : to me, the witch is a kind of representation of a mother, which he has things to reproach to, in his education, or their bond maybe, and which would be the cause of his mental illness, according to him (and I agree with the fact that she may not be evil at all, maybe he is just trying to find a culprit. By the way, we never she her doing bad things, she just cooks her candies and maybe she always thought it was the best way to make her "children" happy.)
But I have to admit that it's not a complete disagreement I have here, because the witch, if she really is a mother figure is, in a way, part of her son, and maybe the only thing that keeps his good side alive. By killing her, he indeed would kill himself, or at least, lose himself entirely.
I hope you find my theory interesting, I'm not used to write them usually, but yours inspired me and I found it awesome and well explained :)

It’s a very good theory. I agree with everything but not the witch part because it’s like Hansel and Gretel. The witch give a lot of candy to the kids so they will be good to eat. At the beginning, the clown said: « I remember being left in a cage, waiting for the witch to finish her job. » Loïc said in an interview that the clown managed to escape like his friends so the witch did not eat them. The rest is very good!!

Je ne suis pas une fan de loic nottet. À vrai dire je l'ai découvert dans danse avec les stars, et il m'avait bluffé. Je découvre aujourd'hui cette vidéo. Quel travail ! Quel artiste ! I've just discovered Loic and honestly I dunno if I'm here only for a pretty boy that can dance of if I spotted REAL talent in songwriting, dancing, and just an awesome person. You can see elements and themes recourring in other artists' work here, but it's unique and distinctive, catchy and visually stunning. He's probably getting on my list of cool-and-clever-people-that-motivate-me-to-make-art-and-I-would-be-honored-to-meet.

Everything about this is utter perfection - the songs, the dancing, the music, the costumes, the makeup, the sets, the cinematography...EVERYTHING. PERFECTION. Huge congrats to Loic and his whole team for bringing this amazing vision to life!! Loic you are a true creative force to be reckoned with, a true artist and so insanely talented beyond belief...I will definitely be watching this at least a million more times. Happy Halloween!
Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to support an artist from my region whose songs are played by the local radiostations ,who hit the charts over here and we often see on the tele here... or one of those international singers that have a hit as soon they open their mouth. But then I think hell no, it took me years to find an artist whose voice I really but really like and who touches me in the heart. I'm very proud to see you grow in everything you do as an artist and I'm pretty sure many surprises are yet to come. Keep going, you're doing great !

Loïc, I've been playing the video all day. I have to say that the more I watch it I realise that it must have been so much work to work out all the details of this amazing masterpiece. It would surprise me that you had the kind of budget the well-known moviemakers have at their disposal. And that's what makes it even more special. Because you can't see the difference , it's even better. You and your team worked out every detail in a way that it enchants us. The house, the decoration, the characters, the wardrobe and of course the songs, music,lyrics and dancing. I also like the fact that your manager (I'm smiling now) , co - writer (she also did very well) , Jens, Justine,....are also acting in this movie. I mean where can one find this kind of bonding of a team. Congratulations ! We're very proud of you.
