Yellowstone In Winter HD

- Yellowstone gets a lot of snow in the winter, averaging three feet in January and closing most of the roads in the park. Snowmobiles and snow coaches are the only vehicles allowed, There are several hundred elk in the snow-covered meadow, but we will spook them if we try to get closer. However, they are comfortable with horses, so an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh is the best way to get good footage. Coyotes are opportunistic hunters, surviving primarily on small mammals, such as voles, prairie dogs, rabbits, ground squirrels, and mice. Red foxes are omnivores with a highly varied diet, feeding primarily on small rodents.
The bison is truly a majestic animal. An adult bull may measure six feet tall at the shoulder and weigh 2,000 pounds. Females look like the males except that they are smaller and have more slender horns. Bison mate from July through early August, and the calves are born in April and May.
Right on time, Old Faithful is the symbol of Yellowstone National Park. Its unparalleled array of geysers, hot springs, mud pots and steam vents provide evidence of the active volcano below our feet. In Yellowstone, you are standing in one of the world's largest active volcanoes.
Magical Yellowstone.
Lovely to have seen it for real.
Over the Yrs. I have seen lots of Documentaries. about Yellowstone: Especially the 4 part docu' with the park manager covering the Seasons.
Beautiful experience. 😊
Thank you for the documentary filming of Yellowstone in the Winter.
Thank you so much. Yellowstone will forever be a special place in my heart. I was too young to remember our visit, but my three older siblings do.
I have had the opportunity to take a snowmobile trip from West Yellowstone to Old Faithful twice and to Norris once. They are both about 60 miles round trip and absolutely wonderful.
thank you for sharing this video,.. it's an amazing place yellow stone national park.
I've been to Yellowstone National Park (including "Old Faithful") and I consider this "The highlight" of my travels , if not "the highlight" of my life....So beautiful....fascinating...stunning...powerful.....it's simply overwhelming !!!!!....and people need to be respectful to the power of nature...
Yellowstone, The Grand Canyon, & Mt. Rushmore are on my bucket list.
Beautiful herds of elk.
The Elk Refuge is just north of Jackson, WY, between there and the airport. The highway there is open all year and it is an easy, 6 to 7 hour drive from Salt Lake City. Yellowstone Park's South Entrance is several miles further north and Grand Teton National Park is just west of Jackson Hole. That area is really beautiful and warrants a separate trip to see it. You can spend weeks in the region and never see everything that is there.
Just great, triggers so many happy memories of this marvellous setting, thanks

Some of these negative comments are wildly inappropriate. Naturally she is "reading" [from a script].Accent is cosmopolitan, diction is good, and voice well moderated. "Talking down" is absurd.
Cosmopolitan accent? Hilarious....
I live in the earth, never get the opportunity to visit this beautiful part of earth, will do soon!
Thanks sharing information
A very nice video about this wonderful National Park
Thanks 😊
Great video, nice narration.
I did enjoy the visit and thank you for the presentation. Thought the narrator did a fine job, but think she'll find several thousand (not hundred) elk winter at the National Refuge. Since I can never get enough of Wyoming wildlife viewing, I appreciate this program.

If the sheds the antlers, do they grows back, or they dont get more...Extremely Outstanding video..🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖
Thank you for such breathtaking documentary. I love the narrators tone of voice that sounds special to me, may be because I am from a different dialect (Ethiopian).

Very good...
My family stayed at one of the cabins in Yellowstone ! I got up in the morning and walked out the door and came face to face with a huge male moose! I slowly walked backwards back into the cabin, freaked out!
I was there a week ago. Absolutely beautiful.
Beautifully narrated documentary...given a chance, I still want to visit this wonderful biodiversity park, witnessed the old faithful geyser eruption and Norris geyser basin...but the documentary on Yellowstone supervolcano eruption. I'd a fact...any day or years it might....
je ne comprend pas l’anglais
It is incredibly beautiful. I grew up only 2hrs from there. We used to cross country ski in Yellowstone every winter and back pack every summer. A few years ago I went back to MT for a visit. On my way home I decided to go through the park. I stopped to take a pic of the mountains and happened to look around in time to see a big and very beautiful wolf. For those who haven't seen Yellowstone I hope you get the opportunity. It is a beauty that you will never forget!

hmmm
We have beautiful elk here in KY too. They are a hearty deer and there are no wolves to predate the elk here. They are thriving as the winters here are not nearly as severe as in Yellowstone.
Informative thankyou
sooo cute place mashallah

GREAT VIDEO!

a beautiful film about nature and animals .
excellent
Fantastic cinematography and narration! This excellent production was only possible with lots of hard work and tenacity to capture these intimate encounters with wildlife.
Some of the elk herd shots, with the horses, we're taken in the National Elk Refuge 35 miles south near Jackson Hole. But most of those elk migrated from Yellowstone.
Well I'm going there in mid November this year
