    Have you filled it up with the correct gearbox oil? Does not take automatic transmission fluid.....

    Best video I have seen. Clear voice and good camera angle. This is a 450 I believe, would it be same for a 451 model?

    • @supercar.central
      @supercar.central  Před 4 lety

      Thanks, yes this is a 450! It's quite similar on the 451 I think a few bolts are different sizes and there is a plastic cover on one of the bolts but the process is near enough the same hope this helps!

      @@supercar.central Just had the clutch fitted and the seals were leaking so it went back in . I received the car back again and there is transmission fluid all around the gearbox housing leaking . The shaft seals are doing their job though. Not sure why it is leaking oil around the housing .

    • @supercar.central
      @supercar.central  Před 3 lety

      If the oil is at the bottom of the bellhousing and you are sure its transmission fluid then it could be the input shaft seal leaking on the gearbox!

    Hi I know you done this a while ago , but can you remember if there is a bearing on the drive shaft at the gearbox side of the shaft ? mine is giving a loud clunk when taking off from a stop , and I can move the shaft a little by hand up and down movement . EDIT , after thinking this over , it must be the Inner Universal Joint on the drive shaft that is clunking , there can't be a bearing floating in free air lol

    I found out that it is practically not necessary to drain the gearbox, you can use a jack that tilts the gearbox so that the oil does not leak.
