Just got my mount back from last year. Followed your advice and killed it on Nov 13. The temps dropped 20 degrees that night and I put an arrow through the boiler room at 10:20AM. I'm watching this on my ipad and sitting on the couch next to my mount :-) Watch ten seconds of video, glance at the mount. Watch another 10seconds of video glance at the mount. Wife is sitting at the counter watching this happen. Wife thinks I'm nuts.

I really appreciate all the insight and knowledge you have shared over the past few years. I took a 73 acre parcel in Ky from just ok to a phenomenal hunting parcel. I’ve used your inside out method to create the best hunting land in the area. I’ve planted food plots on the outside edges of the property and planted switch grass to safely access plots and stands without spooking deer. I have two young children and have to maximize my hunting strategy and use HuntWise to pick and choose the best days to hunt. I just wanted to thank you and share that I shot the biggest buck of my life today 10-17-20 simply by following your advice on how to build the best hunting parcel possible. He was a 5.5 year old buck that will score around 150 inches and weighed over 300 lbs. Thanks again Jeff and my best to you and your family, James

WOW Jeff! Thank you so incredibly much for teaming up with Huntwise in perfecting Huntcast. As I have said many times before, I decided to listen to you on proper hunting conditions for daylight movement. I'm now that guys with 2 young kids and extremely limited time to hunt and you have time and time again you have put me in the wheelhouse to increase my chances each hunt. Now I have you, my greatest modern day hunting Hero, in my pocket to really narrow down my times to hunt. I don't know how many times I told my wife last year " Babe I wish I could call Jeff to see if tomorrow is a good day to hunt and which part of this weather should I hunt"! So Thanks Jeff and the BEST of luck up there in Minnesota. We will miss you here in Wisconsin my friend! 🤜🤛

Jeff- You are definitely the most knowledgeable man I listen to on social media when it comes to whitetail. Following you these last few years has paid off big time with 2 big bucks in 2 years (1 being p&y). Crazy thing is, I spent less time in the woods last year and tagged out faster than ever by waiting for the right weather and wind even though it was tough to hold off on some of my best spots. It was 100% worth it and I did not burn out my best spots early and waited until the rut. Waited until early November to hunt mornings and arrowed a monster 11 point on my second morning sit (second week of Nov). Thank You Jeff

This is my first year hunting during archery season, I have a new food plot and I’ve made several mock scrapes. Also seeing more bucks just from what I’ve learned about where to put my cameras. hey brother love the video I'm from forest lake MN typically hunt up near hinckley and willow river. for the guy talking about no 2nd rut, I've filmed hunts for several years with some very reputable names in the industry and it is without a doubt a real occurrence. I never really gave it much of a thought til I had a very indepth conversation with Mr. Larry Weishuhn who talked to me about it while hunting in Northern Texas. I believe in it I've seen it. Thank you for this video I've been white tail hunting now for 26 years and as much as I learn and I think I know I love to absorb more knowledge and tactics Best of luck this year and stay safe out there in the deer woods!

I was a bit skeptical at first but after tying a vine to a horizontal rope over a trail, it's amazing how much bucks, in particular, like to play around with the vine! But seriously... my son and daughter will benefit greatly because of how you carry yourself and truly care about the outdoors. The way you talk about managing your time and spending time with family and the respect of the outdoors. NOBODY has a channel out there that even compares on the professional way you do things. As a college student, I am looking forward to using the weather to dictate my hunts this year. Previous years I would go hunting every single chance I had(Last year I would say I went almost everyday until I managed to get my buck). However the buck I tagged was not the buck I was after. Nor was it on my parcel where my main target bucks were. I think I just over hunted and pretty much sat in the same stand every time I went out. I had pictures of my target buck every morning or evening I wasn’t in the stand. It’s almost as if he knew when I was there. This year I managed to add more stands to the property. Overall I think I will have more success this year hunting the weather and not over hunting the same stand over and over. I love learning from your videos!

My neighbor just shot a real nice 8 point this past Saturday. Yesterday(Monday) 180 yards from his stand I sadly missed a monster 10 point. He came within 10 yards from me and I shot over him because my bow is set for 30,40,50&60 yards. I def changed it first thing this morning to start at 10 yards. I wish I could post a picture of him that I took after I shot. I use a crossbow and didn’t have room in my stand to pull my bow back. And he stood there for a whole 2 minutes after I shot. And walked away as slow as he walked in. This is my third time seeing him out of this stand. But in my 18 years of hunting I’ve never had that big of a buck get that close to me.

I hunt a lot of oak flats and try to pick out pinch points . I’m just curious on how you pick a spot when there is thousands of public acres with draws and big ridges everywhere

Jeff, Love the knowledge you have and thanks for sharing. With that being said, it is well documented by the University of Florida and FWC biologists, that the rut is always changing in Florida and south Georgia. It has changed dramatically from 2016 to 2019. What are your thoughts?

Great video Jeff. I must have hit the “rewind” button a dozen times to drive home some of your observations. If you have time for one question, I’m curious to see what will happen at our farm with no corn, or beans this year. This will be the first time in our 16 year lease that no crop was put out. They did however plant Rye grass. Any thoughts on this drastic change? FYI: we have no food plots, but two ponds around an acre a piece.

daniel gordon ScoutLook folded into HuntSTAND - try them both. You’ll be surprised how old some apps maps are. Gotta upgrade Huntwise to get the basic 1-2 year old Google map. I like Hunt Stand’s ability to customize line/shape colors and their scent cone from ScoutLook. Don’t know if it’s a pay feature for Jeff’s weather stuff (if it is, just like the Drury stuff, won’t pay for it. That DeerCast thing said poor on a day when a rarely daylight walking 180” typical walked by my stand with me at home listening to an app 🤦🏼‍♂️) but it looks the same as it did last year so who knows.

Quick question Jeff, what would you suggest for hunting an area of public land with open field type areas of switch grass and corn fields separated by sections of thick bush and hardwood trees and cedar? They lead down to a little holler the further east you go Scouting the area suggest evening activity in fields and morning activity coming from the holler to the east

    Jeff,
Enjoyed the video and all the knowledge your sending out. I hunt in southeast Texas and my lease is owned and planted by the timber companies. It is roughly 150 acres of pine and the properties edges have some hardwoods. But mostly pines and the deer are only passing thru with hunting pressure all round from large hunting clubs. I see plenty of yearlings and their moms coming to the corn feeder and food plots during the day lights hours. I usually see no legal bucks because we have an 13" inside antler spread restriction in my county. I see mature bucks on my game cameras at night. What advice do you have to shoot one of these? Thanks in advance.
