He sings: “It’s so hard for us to really be.. really you (points at God)… and really me ” make of it what you will.

That little smile he gives at the beginning is so genuine as the audience recognized the song. He loved this song.

I'm sure many would disagree with me, but I actually like this medley better than the individual songs. I love how it starts off slow and then BAM! All the Young dudes.

The thing about this young Bowie is that he had a perfectly formed voice for theatre and cabaret so early in his career?? amazing

Bowie saved my life, as far as me having no parents at 15. He was my daddy, my ideal man, my savior, my identity, and my life. I have every album and have lately started listening to him more. I think, how did I ever take little breaks. Life gets crazy. Oh you pretty things isn't mentioned in title of
video? why? I LOVE THAT SONG. Freecloud...delicious i am gonna attack my husband!!

Wild Eyed in my opinion is Bowie's greatest story-telling and composition effort. I was, and still am, a huge fan. He's done a lot of terrific stuff, especially early on, and I was part of it after '72 or so as a teen. I wore the records to no grooves left. Some of his songs are like the bible to me. This live performance has the studio song perfect.

If there hadn't been David Bowie, there would have never been New Wave and everything original after.

  • @fletcher2311

This was so far ahead of anything else you could expect to see at a rock concert in 1973 (and beyond). Staging, theatricality, delivery, musicality - you name it. Next level stuff.

The way he tails off the word 'free' when going into All the Young Dudes, my heart just melts!
