- Check out all the Oregon wild horses available via online auction right now!
In this latest auction, there are 29 horses from southeast Oregon available for adoption, along with many other wild horses and burros from other parts of the West.
The Oregon horses for this adoption event range from 2 years old to 10 years old.
The wild horses come from the Stinkingwater, Beatys Butte and Warm Springs herd management areas, with one born at Oregon's Wild Horse Corral Facility in Hines.
This online auction begins Feb. 25 and ends March 3 at 3 p.m. Pacific time.
All of the Oregon horses in this auction are eligible for the BLM Adoption Incentive Program, which gives $1,000 to qualified applicants who adopt an untrained animal.
Before horses and burros are shipped from the facility, they are given a final brand and a health inspection from a veterinarian.
As is normally the case, horses adopted during this auction will be available for pick-up from numerous locations across the country, including Nebraska, Oklahoma, Illinois and Georgia.

@@BLMOREGON how many horses do you own?
Emily: Thanks for the question. As of March 2019, we manage 4,764 horses across 2.6 million acres in Oregon/Washington.
@@BLMOREGON so you take care of the horses?
Emily. Thanks for the question. The answer is yes. The Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management care deeply about the well-being of wild horses, both on and off the range. In the U.S. the Bureau of Land Management protects and manages wild horses and burros in balance with other public resource values on 177 herd management areas across 26.9 million acres of public lands.
I had my mustang 24 years and if I can get a chance even over sixty years old now, I will do it again. He was my first horse to truly own. I just took my time and we did OK. Not fancy but steady
Dee TN Gator: Thanks for sharing such a cool story!
May the good LORD. Bless the beautiful creatures and I pray the all find a former ever home Amen❤🕊❤🛐❤🙏

4737 wasn't suppose to be in the adoption didn't he already have a home and was accidently sent to online adoption.
Love 5372! Good confirmation and a cute face and doesn’t seem too much 5395 seems to be quite curious! 🐴❤️ I’m sure they’ll go to great homes!
Kinda obsessing over 5030, love the coloring especially on the legs
5313 is cute and his coat makes him stand out and I’m assuming he’s younger cause of how tiny he is perfect for someone that can’t handle too much horse to be their first mustang.❤️
I’d love to have the black one
He's an appaloosa. He's beautiful and you're right he's probably no more than 2. I love how stoic horses are.
God made perfect each of them. Very difficult to decide, but my heart goes to these black beauties 5147 and 5173.
Hope each got a nice home
Thanks! Here's more information about how you can adopt one of these Oregon mustangs: www.blm.gov/programs/wild-horse-and-burro/adoptions-and-sales
I love soild black to it's rare & gorgeous 😍
5173 wasn't soild though & was seal brown
So 5173 went to slaughter most likely
Beautifully marked horses. I pray they get good homes. Those kill buyers are everywhere getting horses at all types of sales. Need to put an end to it!! I'd adopt two or three, but I am older and disabled now. Breaks my heart not seeing them free.
I hope they all find a good home
I love these horses
4687 is adorable! 5194 is super cute as well.
They are so beautiful!!
I love horses
If I'm not able to make it to a wild horse auction is there anyway I could go to the Wild Horse facility where they hold the BLM horses and. Adopt
This is a virtual adoption (online), with numerous pick-up locations across the country. The BLM Oregon horse corral in Hines is available for on-site adoptions. Phoning ahead of time is encouraged to learn about office hours and what animals are available.

there are two girls I follow on youtube and they do the 100 day horse competition once they adopt the mustang. their names are Sam Vanfleet and Camille's Mustangs. they answer to people comments so im sure they can give you some kind of information.
4840 i think is awesome also thank you for the video I really appreciate it!!
4840, lovely fluid mover. Nothing flashy in the color dept, but a well balanced TB type. Very pretty for a hunt seat rider perhaps
4948...good cutting horse..got that polish look after a bath and brush. .I go for bays and black but gee those markings of the blk/wht have the notice me, look..flash...
I would like to see update pictures on these horses. Number 4687 would have been my choice.
Well it's nice to know that nobody let me know if I could go to the BLM office facility to adopt a horse instead of going to one of these auctions you know what they're doing synonym to slaughterhouses that's what's going on
Cathy: Thanks for the note. The BLM does not send horses to slaughter. This charge is absolutely false. The Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management care deeply about the well-being of wild horses, both on and off the range, and it has been and remains the policy of the BLM not to sell or send wild horses or burros to slaughter. Consequently, as noted in a report issued in October 2008, the Government Accountability Office found the BLM not in compliance with a December 2004 amendment (the so-called Burns Amendment to the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act) that directs the Bureau to sell excess (unadopted or unsold) horses or burros “without limitation" to any willing buyer. Further information about the BLM's sales program. View a sample bill of sale. The bill of sale, among other things, states that the buyer agrees not to process any of the sold horses or burros into commercial products, or to knowingly sell or transfer ownership to any person or organization whose intent is to commercially process the animals.
that is what I watch a horses and auctions and specially Mustangs you guys were leased land and cattle ranchers understand the country's got to eat but the Rangers have their own land why can't the cattle graze off their property and let the Mustangs be their cattle is eating up the Mustangs food and drinking their water I mean I didn't have to work in by hopefully this summer I'll be able to. Me a few mustangs from one of your facility that is my dreams and I want to know if somebody like me could go straight to the facility and adopt them straight from the BLM
@@cathyholt1035 I think you auction online.
@@cathyholt1035 BLM.gov tells you of all the options for adopting a BLM horse or burro
Can someone tell me where these facilities are at where these horses are being held at cuz I would like to go directly to them and pick out my own few horses other than the ones that are showing I mean that's great and all but I am uptight person that don't have a lot of money so I don't have a lot of money to go to the auction and you know cuz horses could run into the thousands of dollars there when they're selling them between $25 and $125
Cathy: Thanks for the note. These are adoptions are online, but you can always visit our corral in Burns, Oregon. They're open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday: www.blm.gov/programs/wild-horse-and-burro/adoptions-and-sales/adoption-centers/oregon-wild-horse-corral
Are you prepared for the expense of owning and caring for a horse properly? It's not cheap.
Are there any options to adopt one if you live on the east coast?
Yes there are several adoption events on our side of the US, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio many of the internet horses for sale can be picked up at future adoption events , look under pick up options. Just read the guidelines for adoption approval and pick up trailer requirements. go to blm.gov for the all the events. Hopefully they will reschedule those cancelled due to the Corona virus.
Loving 4687, even though she has a bit a high rump... Although it could be the unlevel ground. I love her mind set, stayed calm throughout most of, checked out her new surroundings without a flinch, and curious. If I had the chance, experience, money, and place for one, I'd adopt 4687 in a heart beat and name her Ladybug... ~♥~
P.S. I also like 4737, 4802, 4840.... In fact, I love them all, lol. Hope they found good homes ♥
4802 looks nice.
Before the filming, why don't ya'll run a set of panels down the far side of that pen and cut off the water pad? It's annoying to watch the horses constantly run over there and slip on the concrete.
There is no meaningful audio for this video. If you grow tired of the sleepy music that repeats over and over again for twelve and a half minutes, you won't miss anything if you mute the sound and watch this video while listening to your favorite music from a different source instead. :)
I Like The Buckskin
God bless everyone and all God's creation
no burros?
Could I have one transported to me if I pay?
You need to get in touch with BLM
i really like # 5194 , @8:57 , I wish I could have horses . Just wondering how old he was ? was he a herd stallion ? Would be cool to hear from the new owner to see how he is doing in training ? He looked alert , smart , and really powerful in my opinion .
will 8295 be for adoption?
5040 though😍😮
That's who I'm stuck on lol

Who takes care of these horses? Did you take them out of their natural habitat to cage them up to live in filth? God Bless them.
I hope you're not selling them to slaughterhouses I'm just going by what I've learning obvious CZcams they say horses that go to auctions and even like auctions you guys have that they're allowed to kill buyers there then buy them and I think the Mustangs are cheap which is great for me but I want to love them not send them to their death and there's a lot of people out there that just think of money
JUST BECAUSE IT'S AN AUCTION DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE GOING TO BE SOLD TO SLAUGHTER HOUSE! ANYONE LOOKING TO ADOPT A WILD HORSE OR BURRO HAS TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO ENSURE THAT THESE ANIMALS GO TO GOOD HOMES. YOU CAN'T BUY OR ADOPT ANY WILD HORSE OR BURRO WITHOUT FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cathy that is what they do it called slaughter pipeline. And u in Mexico hell no that is whereAmerica horses are sent and to Canada if u people have never seen it look it up on google then tell me how much u like Mexico and Canada

Aren't WILD horses supposed to be WILD and free???
So long as the habit can support them, yes. The problem the BLM is facing is too many horses for the land to support.
In 1971 a law was passed that prevents the outright killing of excess horses. Now they round them up and put them up for adoption.
If they didn't do this the wild (actually feral since they are descendants of once domesticated animals) would over breed and wind up starving to death. Personally I think adopting out the excess horses is a great option.
Looking for a nice buddy.
4737..5164...and 5194 if I had a farm with lots of land these three I would pick.
Notice how ALL the horses are pacing and are scared to death. How many are mares that have had their foals stripped from them?? When will you humans learn to leave the wild things alone that God have us! Figure out a new way to manage them besides the helicopter round ups that kill the babies, pregnant mares and older horses because they can’t keep up!!!!
Really? May the Good Lord let them live FREE!!
I’m gonna guess that all of these guys have gone...😭😢
Are they killed?
Ruxandra Budai no gosh no I would hope not the BLM isn’t aloud to kill them. And I said they’re probably gone because they most likely have been adopted off
Seems to be a bunch with awfully short necks 🤔
They are mustangs various breeds
don't tell me you guys don't send me your horses slaughterhouse bit BLM cuz I just screenshot it where I just found some horses at the BLM is taken to the slaughterhouse and if I knew how to put a picture on here I would show it to you
Just because there is a BLM horse at a slaughterhouse kill lot doesn't mean BLM sent them there. Get facts. They could have been adopted and titled YEARS ago.

4687 Had no tail or mane hair🤢🤮.
Hopefully that will grow back.
It can still be a great friend/pet & trail partner though.
A lot of these horses look to have Appaloosa blood in them which makes sense since the breed was developed and perfected by the Nez Perce` Indians who lived in the Palouse Valley (hence the name, "a Palouse horse" and later "Appaloosa.") of the Pacific Northwest. A common trait of Appaloosas can be a very sparse mane and/or tail so i'm sure no scissors touched these beauties!
