0:08 if you slow it down by 0.5 you could see that it's not a travel. Sharife doesn't pick up the ball until his second stepback. Similar to a hop step you can jump with one foot, land on two feet and then explode to the basket. Sharife doesn't pick up the ball until his second step back, after the step back he lands on two feet, and takes a shot. He just does it so smooth it looks like a travel.

Jeffrey Li no, its not.. he didn’t pick the ball up with two hands until the second step back. Think about it like this, if he kept both hands on the ball as soon as he hit his first stepback but someone contested, he would be able to hesi. But he picked the ball up with two hands after his first step so you can only count the steps he took after he picked the ball up with to hands ... someone correct me if I’m wrong, and if I’m wrong, back it up with evidence
Jeffrey Li just like when sometimes you see someone on a fast break take 3 steps. The only way you can take 3 steps without it being a travel is if you dont pick the ball up with two hands until the last two steps.. if you have two hands on the ball for three steps its a travel.. if one hand is on the ball for one step, and the next two steps you have your hands on the ball, its not a travel.. I guess thats why its called a gather step cuz both hands aren’t on the ball but correct me if I’m wrong
