Yes , smells a bit funny
The guy's wig didn't help did it. I kept on wanting to picture him without it and what he really looked like if I were to cross him in the street because there is no way that was his own hair; but to be on the front page of a magazine presenting his chintzy potion bottles its perfect.

Long live the dragons for lunch and dinner time viewing
Literally what I do :)
Been in a hungry thirst for DD every feeding time for about 10 years now. Always posted at the right times of day.
Omg yes! I swear I am having lunch right now!1
Smells like a bunch of 50+ year olds in here
Without them that comment wouldn't be possible
I think the planting of the tree was a get out of jail free card and sounded like he just made it up… that’s what the look of his colleague said!
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING 😂😂😂
Its a common marketing strategy to say you will plant a tree. In reality they are donating to a company like onetreeplanted who will then plant the tree's for them.
Touker was spot on. Looks like cheap rubbish on TikTok shop.
100% it’s so tacky-looks like something I’d get in a party bag when I was six 🤢
100% cheap knock off stuff you see on the corner of Oxford Street. He's absolutely correct.
I would never pay 130 if you've told me it costs less than 30!
I agree with Touker, I think it's really tacky and cheap!
Yeah he is correct it is street corner sort of stuff.
What's "Paris" about it?.... This product looks so cheap trying to look luxurious. They don't even talk about the kind of fragrance they produce and how.
its what peter said earlier lol the box is luxurious but the product is cheap.
Sounds like Paris
@@bigdog2432
Really tiresome to see Steven target Touker constantly when he disagrees with anything, yet barely does with the others.
Yeah, you can tell he's got a grudge for touker, really shows
Agreed. I think it’s because when Steven recently joined Dragon’s Den Touker wasn’t very nice to him and said something quite condescending, but he should let it go by now.
Yes, Touker has also noticed this and is not amused.
Because toukar is a Sosig 😂
@@robinwoodforth9940 At least try to spell his name correctly..but I suppose you did try. Fail!
Planting trees is just another form of green washing, in my opinion. I need a lot more information to decide if it's good or not. Where do you plant the trees? In what part of the world? What kind of trees do you plant? Native/non-native? How valuable is the biotope you're creating for local biodiversity? What is currently growing where you plant the trees? How will the trees affect local communities?
Because trees are not always good for the environment. In temperate and boreal regions, grassland is in many ways better, both for biodiversity and climate.
yeah that's my issue with 99% of "sustainable" brands, sustainable really is just a word people use these days to sound good, the vast majority of brands that use it don't actually consider all the environmental challenges, nor come up with good plans to help the environment.
I think he made it up on the spot. He might have some plastic trees he 'plants' on his mantelpiece for all we know.
I've got to be honest, I respect Steven. But I have to say but some of the comments he makes about Touker are bordering on bullying. With respect to his podcast I think he should be better than that!
I think the producers tell him to do it. Part of the 'entertainment' is them being a dueling duo.
touker does the same to him also
Same with Touker to be fair. Also, apparently they are good friends in real life and have dinner with each other.
And Touker kept quiet and didn't disrespect him?!
Was what Steven and Peter offering good enough? Did they make the right decision?
It does look like a load of knock off gear on a market stall. £100 plus for this. No thanks. Many women would think it was the cost price of £20-30
Touker's reaction lol😅
😂
Steven constantly disrespecting Touker isn't on. I mean he could be Touker's grandson
He is disagreeing with Touker, not disrespecting him not to mention Deborah and Toucker have their dust ups too.

I actually feel they made the wrong choice. Their brand isn’t in the caliber that they think. TV Shopping would have been better. But I might be proved wrong…

Where are the 6,000 trees that were planted for each box sold? 🤨
They cut them down for wood.
They went with the dragons who didn't even like the product!
They want to make a brand and not a cheap TV perfume so Peter and Steven can really help there and they'll be successful in anycase with those two dragons.
Sarah was offering overnight riches through TV sales, the others will be growing a premium brand or licensing it out.
@@user-oe1mb9hu9i They will go nowhere though. Sarah was the far superior choice. They made a great mistake.
@@hellegennes I agree completely. They should have swallowed their pride to build a premium brand - which it will NEVER achieve - and sold millions of cheap philas of their product on the TV.
They were ready for it. The trio with the man in a big wig !
They would have been wonderful.
Laughable, but wonderfully successful.
Touker’s Face reactions should be a meme 😄
Every single clip I see with Steven Bartlett he ALWAYS interrupts touka whenever he speaks. Its really off putting to the point its obvious from watching multiple clips back to back.
I'm unsure of the behind the scenes drama but it comes across unprofessional and very cliquey to the detriment of the show. Its alright to see a dragon argue with one another now and then but it's practically every episode.
Well 👏🏽 Said 👏🏽.
Was excited when he joined but now I dread watching any episode he's in because of what you mentioned.
I've watched damn near every episode of Dragons Den and even Peter hasn't been that rude to Touker, ever.
Very disappointing.
Would have to disagree. It’s refreshing that he will actually challenge touker or other dragons when they make outrageous statements. Every time I’ve seen him do it he is putting them back in their place when they let their egos run away
full of opinions but when does he ever make a deal?
@@pipedown7969 that is all good and well but why can't he let them finish their statement 1st then voice his opinion when it's his turn to talk? Interrupting someone while they're stating their own personal opinion is rude and disrespectful.
@@paidamichelle754 You don't HAVE to watch it, you know.
All the items on the table are displayed like a necklace but none of them wears anything like that. In fact they wear nothing. This obviously is not an item for daywear or a night out.

Loved toukers face in this whole thing 😭😭😭
Selling collection set for: £130
Landed Cost of collection set: £20
Margin: £120/ collection set
If I’m your customer and I watch this and I think, wow. It only cost them £60 when I bought 3, but cost me £390…
Would I keep shopping with them?
How do companies get away with this in the first place, let alone after shows like this - Shark Tank, etc..?
Sunglasses that are sold for 1000s cost around 10s...... Any scent also only costs about 8 pounds/dollasr a bottle...also Starbucks and APple.....they all make a high profit
Yeah but those margin is without marketing cost, labour, rent, R&D, and much more. This kind of field rely heavily on branding and branding is not cheap.
Hiring several influencers or brand ambasadors are not cheap.
@@SenbonTv fine but that still works it’s way into cost. So, whatever the NET margin, that would include what you mention…

Maybe that is where the tears come… your inability to look at yourself… how typical… a person that conflates words with tears is also someone that cannot acknowledge themselves…. Why are you so weak?
Where's the PARIS connection here in the name??? False advertising???
Yep, it’s what all these garbage tacky instagram brands do, they’ve probably never been to Paris in their lives
99% sure that's Sal from Impractical Jokers
Why is the brand name Potion Paris? They were talking about inspiration from the Middle East so they just tried to seem fancy with the Paris thing? What connection does this have with Paris? Also Is tv shopping still a thing? I haven't watched tv for many years and I think most people hate that stuff. Especially now with the Internet, I don't buy anything without checking reviews and crossreferencing info from different sites. Maybe elderly people buy from tv? I mean who else? I don't know anyone who ever did that. So old fashioned
The Middle East has a fascination with Paris and the fragrance industry stems from there. I can see why they chose to include it.
@@freddie_mvpyes for sure, I guess they thought many people associates Paris with sophistication and elegant fragrance but usually if a brand's name includes a city is because originally the brand was born there or the product created there. This seems like a cheap little trick with no real meaning
People buy from QVC using it's app.
@@OOtwiga no doubt it’s a cheap ploy.
Women do quite a lot. Also many are single and shop more. There are always the shopping channels on in hotels.
The bottles look like Louboutin lipstick containers.
Yet another pitch where we never get to hear what the business actually physically does. How many people does it employ and what do they spend time on typical day? Does it own or rent any significant premises or equipment? They sell a product for £130 and it costs them £23. What do they do to it in between to add value? How much of that £107 margin goes to the business running costs (what are they) and how much goes to profit?
Agreed 👍 I would love to see a full unabridged version of these presentations. Not the 12-15 mins of heavily edited stuff out of context.
@@scienceevolves4417 I think making it longer wouldn't help, it seems like the show is actively choosing to hide the fact that a lot of these businesses do almost nothing - and what the investors are buying is mostly just IP (brand name, designs, patents etc) and relationships.
That would be 2 hours per pitch, which is actually about right; most pitches do go on for at least one hour. However that would be really boring to watch. You are not the one investing in the business.
Let’s not forget the high-five that completely missed!
lol at 11:45 steven and peter smiling at eachother knowing they’ll team up and are prepared to go lower on the %

Oh snap! Saucer of milk, princess.
never ceases to amaze me how rude Steven is - like he needs to learn how to shut up and just listen and then have his say
he is so insufferable - by far the worst dragon on the show

This is something you buy from Kmart or Target...hardly "luxury".
Those vials are straight off Ali Baba
Sara gets snubbed a lot despite making competitive offers. Shame
Why does it sound like Ewan Davis says Pizza Jones
I were something similar but heavy( « better » quality? Maybe but so uncomfortable to were). This product looks beautiful and being light that’s delight 😊. Lots of respect and support from France 🇫🇷 ❤😘
The layering of fragrance isn’t unique to them either and I’m shocked none of the dragons challenged them on that. Layering fragrance with a body wash, body crème and multiple colognes is typical Jo Malone and not new
Touker describing the whole of the perfume industry. All packaging.
That’s just not true at all though, it’s all about the scent
Thing is most perfume brands do refills these days, you can get your perfume personalised from certain companies you can take your empty bottles back to perfume shop and they recycle them, that part isn’t really new
Wrong choice. It was no luxury product and was fit for the shopping
When i google search i find nothing about the brand
Cheap products are suitable for cheap TV shopping. And this was perfect
I would never buy anything from any company that Bartlet promotes or is involved with.
The margins are so high on perfumes. I can see why they're trying to do something in this space.
Those necklaces immediately remind me of rifle projectiles.
Love all the environmental words but where is the environment side. They lost me with Paris and sustainable. Its perfume, why not just say its perfume
Sara is so approachable and open minded. I would direct my pitch to her.
EDIT: I already use a refillable fragrance. Thierry Mugler Angel. When the lovely star bottle is empty, I get a refill at Macy's for an excellent price. I've had the same Lalique bottle for 7 or 8 years and refilled it at least twice to three times a year ever since. I do appreciate the sustainability of the product.
14:50 that glare has me dead 🤣
If the packaging is good but the perfume is tacky you won't get repeat business.
Far too expensive for me. I much prefer Estee Lauder White Linen, or YSL Paris. Doesn't do it for me.
This is beautiful stuff? Thank you Dragon Den, for sharing your precious time with us thanks
Dragons Den becoming more and more Shark Tank, tearing into each other, interrupting, insulting, undercutting and snide comments.
They just need Michael Bay to edit in his explosion sound pack into every episode and we'll be exactly like them.
This stuff is available in most bazaars, souks, even craft markets of any authenticity, around West and South Asia. Putting defensible marketing claims around it will be difficult.
The reason they're crappy is bc the vials are pre made bootlegs of the Christian Louboutin vials
Does this guy, Omar, really believe we can't tell he is wearing a big 'ol raccoon (tupee) on his head? 😂
Getting extremely tired of Bartlett shilling Zoe and Huel with relentless CZcams adverts.

He’s right …. Usually luxury products do have weight to them however if this is meant to be worn on the neck you wouldn’t want it to be mega heavy. Steven is awesome ! And I liked the personalisation idea - good luck to them ☺️
I love the two gentleman with a rich experience. Peter Jones and Touker Solomon. If spot an opportunity to get a chunk of the business, they are not apologetic about it
