Another small item. Male and female caps for water hoses. Sometimes you need to disconnect a hose and you don't want to coil it up into itself. These hoses carry your drinking water so keeping them sanitary is critical. I'm a licensed water distribution manager. Having male and female caps on hand prevents dirt, insects, pesticides, bacteria, feces, etc. from entering your water system and ultimately, your body.
An item that I've found very useful for working in low light situations outside is a headband light. It keeps both hands free for working.
Great recommendation! I keep one in the truck because you never know when you will need it.
I just bought my 31 ft. 5th wheel (actually delivering it tomorrow.) I have been watching several channels for about the last 6 months and wow, it really helped me tremendously. Tomorrow I start preparation for this late fall. I'll spend the rest of the summer getting use to driving. Parking, driving through my city, taking country roads etc. This whole process has been a blast. I want to thank all of the channels AND comments from other viewers. I'm 78 and going it alone. -keith

Congratulations, I'm in the same boat. But not buying a 5th wheel or 78 haha, but im 35 and buying a travel trailer and traveling alone. Life is too short. Gotta enjoy things even alone. And see what the best country in the world has to offer. Safe travels Sir.
The little stools work good as foot rests in front of your camp chair too.
A three way hose splitter. We hook it up to the camp site spout. Use one outlet to hook up the RV water, another to set up a spray hose, and the third for just filling a pot of water to boil on the camp stove. Pray hose is good to spray down feet, messy dishes, dusty roads at camp sites…
I use that chair when I go biking. It fits right in my basket and I always have a place to sit!
Use the collapsible bucket with a rope to lift things up to the roof when working up there.

The collapsible bucket is a winner - on my list. I’ve kept a folding shovel (army surplus) and used it multiple times for putting out camp fire, shoveling some light snow, etc. Cheap, takes up little space.
The sharp edge works great for splitting kindling too
We have most of what you suggested and use them all the time. One other thing that seems a bit silly (but for me are indispensable) are sturdy but comfortable knee pads. They are knee savers for the "low level" projects like airing up the tires. I got mine at Lowe's for $18, hard rubber on the outside and about 2" of soft foam on the inside.
I've got a pair, I also carry one of the knell ons for gardening.

The small stool would be useful to put in a backpack, when doing some exploring, I think. If one gets a bit tired, you have a convenient seat while you regain your breath. Thanks for sharing, Jared.

I have the same stool. I’ve also used it when fishing. Hiking it in wasn’t terrible, nor was it particularly easy.
We have found little hooks that can be put up with command strips. These can be put in places where you want to hang a hat or a dog lead. You can put them on the back of the bathroom door for towels etc.
we also found spice racks that can be hung the same way. I would just say, with the spice racks, use plastic spice bottles. Glass seems too heavy and will peel them off.
The grab bar that attaches to the screen door. Won’t be without one.
This is my favorite mod to my RV. Very close second is adding magnets to the storage doors

A must have is also a collapsible trash bucket with zipper lid. Lasts us a long weekend and keeps trash contained and covered. Also not small but our favorite new item is a Gazelle screen house. It’s a little large but requires zero assembly and sets up in literally minutes. Happy camping!
I also like the collapsible trash can. We can put a liner in it for trash, dry only, or we can just put stuff in it to keep the wind from blowing things .
I have two of those chairs and I love them so much!!!! Easy to store in my popup camper.

We have the same chairs, and absolutely love them. A little handy tool i bought was a Camco sewer cap tool/wrench. Fits any cap and was only a few bucks.

Great video. I wear a pair of jersey gloves when packing up. I can wipe items down prior to storing them. I wear them doing light chores. If my hands stay clean, so do my clothes.
I love the smaller compact chairs! We pack and take those things easy into our Jeep when we overland.

My Leatherman Wave multi-tool with belt holster and Maglight mini. On my hip whenever I need it and I need it a lot!! Also, InstantPot. So many meals and it takes little space and doesn't heat up the trailer.

I carry a 20# to 1# adapter so I can fill 1# propane bottles from my 20# bottle. As much as I don't like 1# bottles, I still need them for my propane lantern and two-burner stove and grill if I'm cooking outside.

Opaque condiment bottles are super convenient for a lot of things, like using them for oil on the Blackstone, spot cleaning dishes and silverware, washing hands away from the RV, and in general conserving water by only using exactly what you need in between tank fill ups. I also particularly love my portable propane water heater/shower, esp in the teardrop with no plumbing. Just fill up your collapsible bucket, put in the siphon hose, and fire it up for a hot shower anywhere.

A friend just recommended your channel and I am finding it very helpful. I did look at the folding chair at Costco this spring. I personally did not find it comfortable, but I'm 73" tall and weigh 260. But every one is different and Costco has a great return policy. I'll keep watching your channel.

I move my regular bucket out of the way about 20 times in the storage bay between use… maybe it’s time for a collapsible. Our foldable end table comes in handy on the patio all the time!

I have always wanted a camping chair that I can keep in a kitchen drawer
All of those items can be replaced with just a regular bucket. Turn over the bucket and sit on it = stool, turn over the bucket and step on it = stepstool, and a bucket can also be used as a bucket!
But he stores items in the bucket. Right now I have the bucket filled with odds and ends from previous repair jobs. I'd have to empty it ever time I have to use it. Second bucket is no big deal, get two of the same kind and they can nest and in my storage area they would still fit.
The collapsible bucket could be used in areas where a fix plastic bucket would not, like for groceries in those up top storage spaces.
I have those exact same chairs, got 2 of them at a "closeout store" for $9 each! I love them! Major score IMHO.

I love my step stool to be able to get up into or reach into the bed of my truck. The husband laughed at me at firsy but now has seen the wisdom of havingnsuch a great tool.

There’s chairs for small people and there’s chairs for us Big people and no they don’t fold up small. We need a newer vacuum, will have to take a closer look at yours. Always a good idea to keep whisk broom handy👍

Looks like I have a "QCC1 Regulator Valve for 1lb Type1 Throwaway Cylinder" on my Weber Grill. I want to quick disconnect at the grill and at the RV shut off valve.
Man, been usin' those little foldable stools for years at the homestead. I know that they were very popular in Japan when I was stationed there back in the 90's. Great video!

Man wish can use a hose like that but our regulator on our little girl grill is the only way to adjust it. Would love to not drag the propane tank around every time we want to grill

I believe that is built into the tankless water heater like the one used in the Winnebago View/Navion. I don't remember the name but maybe Truma or something like that.
Like it all BUT can't use most of what you showed because at 6'2" and 365 most of that would break quick. We got the folding stool, small broom and vacuum already so any ideas for us Larger folks on folding step and chairs?

My favorite accessories were the two hose wheels I bought to hold my electric cord and my water hose. So easy now to move them from the bay to the service area at the campsite. And then they stack well in the bay.

@@shawnberg868 I put the link above. I have a 30 amp cord. I just wrap them in there. There’s a spot at the bottom to pull your cord through to reach the pedestal. Same with hose. That way you don’t have to unwrap the whole thing, just what you need. The rest stays in the caddy.

We have the same propane hose for our black stone but we just can’t get the gas to flow good enough to keep it lit. We always have to go back to using the small regulated hose with the small camping tank. It’s pretty frustrating
My propane regulator in the RV says 30 PSI but I have a low flow propane grill, which I think works off of 1/2 PSI. Is your setup the same? I am worried about creating a leak in the propane line if the the PSI is too much.
Are those the JT strong arms on your front jacks? How do you like them? Better than using a tripod?
it's the steadyfast system. Based on his initial review with his old trailer I did the steadyfast system on my 5er, I absolutely love them. The fact that he did them again with his new trailer, I think he's sold on them too!
Where did you get the slide out tray for your blackstone and was it difficult to install?
