The artist ought to express his own truth; both to himself and to others. Through a lonely but necessary journey of self-discovery he traces the unique elements that constitute his own personality and set him apart from everyone else: his personal experiences, his language, his place of origin, his identity.
With this album, my debut album, I expose my own inner truth, my own 'soil'.

This sounds amazing! Can anyone describe the influences of the music? Is it inspired by the music of some specific region or culture? I would love to know more about it.

Well cypriot music is influenced by many cultures like the middle eastern (mostly Arabic) Byzantine music and Ottoman

Culturally Cyprus is part of the Hellenic World. Cypriot traditional music is part of the wider Greek traditional music and is clearly influenced by the music of the Greeks of the islands of the Aegean, Asia Minor, Constantinople and derives from there. The main musical influence of Cypriot traditional music is Byzantine music which is used by the Greek Orthodox Church. With the conquest of Cyprus by the Ottomans, Turkish and Arab influences were also added. Its noteworthy to add that a big part of Cypriot traditional music is common to both the Greek and Turkish Cypriots although they also have their distinctive songs and dances.
